They saved me money!!
I originally had my car towed to another shop in Rockland and got quoted for a transmission. The price they gave me was roughly $3,200, so I proceeded to tow it to Aamco Transmissions in Pearl River after seeing a commercial on TV. I dropped off my car and received a call from Chris no more than 2 hours after I dropped off the car. He called and told me that it wasn`t a transmission problem, but the axle was broken. ... view moreInstead of spending $3,200, I spent a fraction of the price and was back in the road in no time. I just want to thank Chris and his son, Chris, for being honest and saving me money.

Never do business with them! ...
Never do business with them! We took our vehicle to them July of 2010 to have a new transmission installed. Now in August of 2011 the transmission does not down shift. We brought the vehicle back and were told it was, get this, the wheel bearings and they would fix them for another $900.00. Give me a break, wheel bearings would not continue to make noise when you are at a complete stop and they certainly do not e... view moreffect the down shift. While the vehicle was there they received evacuation notice from the county in reference to flooding. We were never notified of the impending flood and our vehicle was under 8 ft of water. Mind you it was drive-able and could have been moved. After all was said and done we went for our vehicle to move it to a more reputable mechanic to find it flooded. Yes, find it flooded. We were never even notified! This company will rip you off then turn around and show no common sense when presented with a situation. If anyone else has a similar situation with flooding please respond as we are putting a law suit together.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!
These crooks are not worthy of a rating because their service and professional is a disgrace. It took them a week to rebuild my transmission. I hardly had any communication from the shop and I had to be the one to call. The owner Chris is very unprofessional and doesn`t treat his customers with respect. When it was time to pick up my car, I drove it away and smelled something funny. I was near my mechanic so he che... view morecked the car for me. He discovered the right hand axle was leaking and the solenoids which AAMCO Pearl River charged me a$1600 for were not changed. I immediately took back my car to the shop and Chris basically put the blame on his workers. I am trying to get the word out there to NEVER use this company as they are shady and will never put 100% into your car. It is sad that there are such dishonest people in this world. I wish I had done my homework so I am warning future customers to stay away! Go to ALL TRANSMISSIONS in Nanuet instead...honest, hardworking folks who can sleep at night knowing they are doing the right thing and be a good business. DO NOT USE AAMCO in Pearl River..unless u want to be hustled by dishonest people.
