A diamond in the rough

!! Please note that they`ve moved to 590 Union St, betw. 3rd and 4th Ave. !! 2 years ago I purchased a wonderful 1986 Mercedes 560SL from a seemingly well situated person in New England who was utterly frustrated with this car. He had brought it to his local Mercedes-Benz dealership in CT several times, but they just could not get the motor running on all 8 cylinders and finally suggested to him to swap the engine... view more for a rebuilt one. So I bought the car at a considerable discount and brought it to Gino and Daniel at EAC in Park Slope (btw, they used to be on 26th St.) It took them 2 days but they figured out that a very obscure fuel distribution part was broken and replaced it for me the next day (old part was wrapped up in the trunk, as it should be). This is just one of many stories I could tell about these guys, I`ve been driving older European cars for many years and they`ve never let me down. I even had them change the timing belt on my 2000 Audi A8, a very complex service which would have cost me at least $2,100 at Audi - they charged me $790 for it, incl. the recommended waterpump change. While their shop is certainly not very bright and shiny, don`t just walk away yet - these guys know European cars in and out like few others! Lately, Daniel is there most of the time by himself and he is not very talkative over the phone (he does have a slight speaking disorder) but please don`t hold it against him, he is a true Miracle Man when it comes to fixing imported cars! And not to mention that their prices are extremely reasonable, if not to say very cheap. Actually, I can`t believe no one has bothered to write them a review so far. Long overdue but here it is - and they are Highly Recommended!
