I started going to new egypt ...
I started going to new egypt auto body about two years ago. the first time i brought my car into the auto body was right after i first purchased it. the car was a 2000 hyundia sonata that i paid $3000 for so honestly i wasnt expecting it to last forever. i asked them to check out the clutch and the brakes to make sure everything was in working order and also to give the car a once over to see if they could find any... view morething really wrong with it. Being that im a younger woman they could have taken full advantage of me but they didnt. They replaced the serpentine belt and that was about it. i continued going to the shop to get my oil changed and have regular maintenance done on the car. everyone in the shop is always friendly and they`re always looking out for the customer`s best interest. After having the Sonata for about a year and a half things started going downhill with the car and i knew it was about time to start saving for a newer car. about 2 weeks before i was going to go to the dealership the power steering went in the sonata. this was the last straw. i decided that i wasnt going to be putting any more money into this vehicle. when i got to the shop the next day i told them what had happened and that i wanted to get to the dealership that night to try to get a new car. it seemed as though it became a shop mission in order to get my car all the way to old bridge without replacing the line. Everyone was trying to come up with ideas and after they worked on my car for about an hour or two the shops second idea worked and my car was safe to drive once again. After all was said and done John made me promise to bring my newer car in on Monday so that they could check it out. I ended up buying a "certified accident free" 2009 Honda civic ex. I dropped my car off around 1230 and ran across the street to a friend`s house. about a half hour later they were calling my phone so i came back. to my dismay i saw that my car was still up on the lift. i assumed that this meant they had found something wrong with my new car. Imagine my surprise when i walk into the office and the owner Greg is just shaking his head come find out that my "accident free certified used car" had been in a accident and had shotty body work done to it, and this was the least of my concerns. Upon further inspection they found that the upper tie bar was bent, the radiator post was snapped off, the radiator and condenser were twisted, there was a random chuck of metal holding up my left headlight amongst other things. Without going any deeper they told me that i needed to call the dealership and tell them that my mechanic STARTED looking at the car and they already have a $2000 estimate. Greg and John made sure to take me into the bay and physically showed me everything that was wrong with the car so that when i went back to the dealership i could actually show them. it was a mess! they told me a month from now that i would have had to put ALOT of money into this car because of all the issues it would have ended up with. Again they could have just told me everything was fine and then just waited until an actual issue arose and then taken full advantage of me. I made it to the dealership that day and now they are putting me into a car with 20,000 less miles for the same price. John even offered to come to the dealership with me so that he could make sure the car was in good running condition. Everyone in this shop goes above and beyond to make sure that the customer is WELL taken care of and treated FAIRLY. All business`s should take a lesson from New Egypt Auto Body. If you are looking for excellent quality work and extremely fair prices then go to New Egypt Auto Body.
