Purchasing a car

I bought a car there in the spring....same thing happened to me.... Helen dominated. I also had to wait while other sales people stood around looking uncomfortable and afraid of Helen. I only spoke to her for a moment on the phone as well.
I was approached by someone who did a great good helping me. I wanted to buy the car from him and HELEN bulldozed her way in the tension was horrible. I did call and request th... view moreat the gentleman that helped me receive half of the commission.
I prefer to support local business so I chose to do bussiness in MT, however...If you get directed to Helen
I would ask for someone else. My 2 cents---I Love my car....and other then Helen service has been good.

Don`t waste your time because they will waste yours

I will never step foot into Montana Import Group again. With the cutthroat sales culture there, if you have already spoke to someone before, then apparently no one else can help you. I came in ready to spend $30,000 on a specific vehicle and stood at the front door for over 15 minutes waiting for Helen to come help me. The receptionist paged her 3x stating ""Customer Waiting"" and I stood there while I watched other ... view moresales people stand around twiddling their thumbs doing nothing.

She was the one who I spoke with for not even 5 minutes the last time I came in so apparently no one else was allowed to help me. Turns out, Helen is notorious for hogging all the potential customers that come in and none of the other salespeople wanted to ""step on her toes."" I can see it in their faces and body language, the apprehensiveness and awkwardness they were displaying wanting to come help me but were afraid to it seemed.

After making it apparent that I was getting impatient and ready to walk out, a manager or some supervisor ordered some other salesperson to come help me instead because he know that I was about to walk out.

Unfortunately the damage was already done and although the new salesperson was very nice and courteous, I had already made up my mind at that point that Montana Import Group was not getting a single dollar of my money. It was the worst dealer experience I have ever experienced.

I would recommend everyone considering buying a Subaru in the Bozeman area to shop around. The prices that they are trying to charge are thousands more than if you were to buy the same car in Salt Lake City or Denver. Spend a couple hundred bucks for plane ticket to Denver or SLC, have an awesome night out on the town and drive your new car back. You`ll still come out thousands of dollars ahead than dealing with these amateurs and clowns.
