W-K was created in 1919 by my grandfather, Walter C. Weymuth and his business partner, Joseph A Kreisel. The two operated as W-K Garage in a simple metal shed until 1939 when the business moved.My father and mother, Walt V.D. Weymuth and Mary Weymuth took over ownership after the death of my grandfather and his partner. In 1949 Mom and Dad were granted a direct dealership from Chevrolet. Prior to that they operated as an associate dealership and the cars they sold were obtained from a Sedalia Chevrolet dealership, which at that time was owned by E.W. Thompson.
After graduating from Central Missouri State University in 1979, I returned to work in the family business. In 1988 I became the dealer and third-generation owner. In 1999, my wife, Kim and I purchased the State Fair Chevrolet Buick dealership located at 3310 W. Broadway in Sedalia.Then in October 2004, we purchased the assets of David Malmo Motors of Sedalia moving the Pontiac, Cadillac, and GMC franchises to the 3310 W. Broadway location.
W-K of Sedalia now sells and services all of the GM brands under one roof and has 72 employees that provide vehicle service and parts to the Pettis County area.
At W-K we sell vehicles to customers all over North America, service the best vehicles on the road with the best ASE certified master technicians, and offer the convenience of a first class parts dept. and the best collision center in Central Missouri.To this day W-K continues to grow.
Although that growth means there have been a variety of changes, one thing that always remains constant is the loyal dedication that all of us here at W-K have for our customers.

My fiance and I were looking for a specific vehicle in a specific price range. We were willing to travel anywhere in the country to get it, but it just so happened to pop up at this dealership. I was working, so I told her to go down and check it out. When she arrived to test drive it, she was made to fill out all kinds of paperwork including her social security number and made to sign papers saying that it was okay... view more for them to run a credit check...this is just for a test drive, mind you, and even though she said she`d be financing through our bank. They said it didn`t matter, that it was manditory if she wanted to drive the vehicle. We decided to buy it, but were asked numerous times about financing through them, even though we told them we were getting a better deal at our bank. (A MUCH better deal) When we did show up to buy, they made us wait an hour and a half to sign papers and get the keys, which took all of 5 minutes. They cashed a deposit check that we`d given them to hold the car, even though they said they wouldn`t. The papers were supposed to be mailed to us, but they sent them to the wrong address, even though the address was correct on the papers themselves. This was a nightmare car purchase!!! I would strongly advise that you stay away unless you just MUST buy from this place. It was the biggest hassle I`ve ever experienced in the 18+ cars that I`ve bought in my life. I`m SO glad it`s over and done with!

Bought a certified preowned ca...
Bought a certified preowned car from Toyota w/ 18,000 miles on it. They failed to check alignment during the 19 point inspection to certify it. 10,000 miles I am spending $400 to have the problem corrected. I have personally been treated awful by the management. Very dishonest in repair work....
Very dishonest in repair work. We bought a new Tundra truck 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. We took it in 2 days ago for a minor repair and they wanted to do an additional $1200 worth of repairs as: replace windshield wipers that had been replaced the week before, put new front & rear brakes on at 28000 miles, at home my husband pulled wheels & neither set of brakes needed replaced... view more, they wanted to replace the serpentine belt, nope it was fine too. DON`T TRUST THESE PEOPLE & DON`T BUY A TUNDRA.

Ex Reliable BMW Customer
They lied to me about so many things. They recommended several thousands of dollars worth of unnecessary work, and to top it off were rude to me for reporting them to Corporate BMW. I encourage every person who has been treated badly by this company to voice your concerns to the corporate office, as if they do not maintain a certain rating they will no longer be allowed to sell BMW. buy somewhere else
This dealership is very dishonest on trade in value, conditions of vehicles and scams you in the finance department. I went to Joplin and got a much better deal. Honesty is very important to me. The owner was so rude to me and it sounds like that`s how he treats the associates and other customers too. It`s worth the gas to go somewhere else.

Much better prices at Joplin and Arkansas Toyota dealers. This dealership wants you to give away your trade and is very dishonest. The owner is rude and needs to not yell at his customers and associates-I guess that makes him feel powerful.

owner is rude and trade in values are a scam. shady company. would not recommend. avoid the scams-go to Joplin Toyota dealership. I did and got a much better deal and was treated much better!
