Dad`s Auto Repair Very disappointing......
We have been patronizing Dad`s Auto Repair for years. My husband, his mother, my two kids, plus referring many people to them for their trustworthiness and helpfulness as well as fair prices.
Recently my son and husband brought my son`s car up to Dad`s on a Sunday evening so they could look at it the following day and repair a few items so he could sell his car before leaving for college. After over a week ... view moreworking on it off and on Dad`s said it was finished and my son went to pick it up...only to find a LARGE dent in the rear quarter panel that was not there previously. Dad`s refused to compensate him in any way. We sent a very nice letter to them thanking them for all the years of service and asking that they consider crediting our card for the repair (under $400.00....much less than it would have cost to fix the dent) or giving us a credit of some type for future repairs on one of our vehicles. After all our years of bringing our vehicles to them, they didn`t even respond to the letter or our phone calls.
When we got the vehicle back, it ran rougher than it did when brought it to be repaired. Later we found out that there one one spark plug that had not even been gapped and the mass air flow sensor that was replaced was not attached properly. When it was attached properly and the gap was fixed the car ran fine. Unfortunately we didnt find that out until AFTER we sold it for much less that we could have gotten if it was running properly.
I don`t know if they didn`t put much effort into the repair because it was a young 20 year olds car or what, but we were very disappointed with their lack of response after so many years of taking our vehicles to them.
Dad`s has lost our business and all of those we have recommended by their lack of response to this issue and no resolution offered to the large dent that occured to the vehicle while under their care.
Very disappointed.
