Avoid this shop
Ripoff auto repair. Overcharge. No communication. charge for parts not used on vehicle. The owner Josh runs a fairly shoddy and shady business. Avoid taking a vehicle here at all cost.

Horrible Service!
Took my car in for a diagnosis and provided a copy of the warranty requirements. Josh was well aware the warranty required contacting them and getting authorization before any work was to be done. Josh told me he had received approval and did the work. The next day, after two trips to pick up the car, he called me and told me "Oh well, I made a mistake" and the warranty company did NOT approve. He hadn`... view moret called them until after the work had been done. He told me I would have to pay him over $500 to get my car back or he would take off the parts! Not only was he dishonest, but extremely rude. I would never take a car to him.

Horrible Customer Service - Dishonest!
I took my car into Caanan Auto yesterday, requesting repair work to be performed under warranty. I gave the owner, Josh, the warranty papers and we clearly discussed the requirement to have the work authorized before any repair work could be done. Josh assured me numerous times he had received authorization and it was 100% covered. Day two - I received a call from Josh saying it wasn`t covered under warranty and t... view morehat I needed to pay him $517.87 to get my car back. He admitted that he never actually called the warranty company until after he had done the work and just expected me to pay regardless. He ended up removing the parts he had put in (another couple of hours) and giving me my car back. This is not just bad business practice, but dishonest.

I appreciate his honesty!
I took my car in because it was making a funny noise when I started and stopped. Josh, the owner called me up & told me it was only a loose bolt on my axle. On top of that he only charged me a half hour service fee. That immediately earned my trust because he did not tell me I needed more or charge me an arm and a leg. I will be taking my car to him from now on.
