Outstanding Service!
Two of the four frame tubes to the tongue of my Kendon motorcycle trailer broke while on the road. Pulled into NWTA at 0900 on Tuesday morning after a Monday holiday weekend. They immediately took care of me despite having other work. Fabricated support pieces using angle iron and welded everything up stronger than the original and then even spray painted the final work. I was back on the road at 1010, To top it... view more all off, their charge for the work was way more than reasonable. I expected to be charged more than twice as much. Can`t say enough about their friendliness and professionalism. Thanks guys.

No negoation on problems
It is with sadness that I write this review. I have been a long time customer in good standing with the Northwest Tire and Auto shop in Chesterfield. I have taken my three cars, my daughter?ˆ™s car and I have referred numerous friends and relatives to this shop. The people in this shop are friendly and knowledgeable. However, I will no longer take my cars to NWT&A because of an obtuse owner who is at another locati... view moreon. About 18 months ago my vehicle was making ?ˆ?whizzing?ˆ™ sound. They diagnosed it as a powering steering pump which they replaced. A few weeks later it started again and this time they flushed the system. All in all about $600 was spent and after the second time in the shop I was told nothing could be done and that Lincoln was having problem with their power steering pumps. Once the engine warmed up the noise went away so we though we could live with it. Over the following 12 months or so the noise kept getting worse and finally the car was hesitating when taking off cold. We took it to the Lincoln dealer and the whole problem turned out to be the transmission. Once that was fixed the noise we experienced earlier went away. I asked the dealer if they were having problems with the power steering pump and he said not on this line of car. They did have some pump problem back in early 1990 but nothing since then. I am a forgiving person and once I calmed down I went back to the Chesterfield shop and explained to them that I understand how an error could be made on their part. They totally misdiagnosed this problem. Now the real problem with me is the fact that since they couldn?ˆ™t fix the problem they tried to pull one over on me saying that these pumps were having a problem and that I would have to live with it. According to the Lincoln dealer this is a totally false statement. The Chesterfield shop listened to my complaint and after throwing out their counter arguments they ask what would I like to do. I told them that I have been happy with my service and that, I have certainly made errors in my judgment, and I was willing to start over considering their error in judgment. I suggested we split the $600 bill. I thought that was reasonable and he agreed and we shook hands on the deal. He did say that he would have to clear it with the owner who works out of another location. Two days later I took my car in there for some service. When I returned home the local shop called me up and said that the owner would not agree to my request. I just find it hard to believe that he would lose a good customer over the small sum of $300. I immediately returned to the shop to pick up my vehicle. I do hate to lose the service of the local shop but I cannot continue there when the owner will not stand behind his service.
