Great value; friendly service
I`m sorry Adam had a bad experience with Gary and crew at Froesel. We have brought our cars there for more than 10 years and have found them to be professional, competent, and prudent with their services. Tire prices are competitive. Once when our 2003 van died (in 2010) we had it towed there. The symptoms of the problem were strange - sometimes it would start, other times it was dead. They worked with it off an... view more on for a couple of days until Gary called and said that we would probably have to take it to the dealer. He didn`t charge us for anything yet spent some real time trying to figure it out. I appreciated their honesty. They are really a tire store first, although they can do all basic replacement/repairs like brakes, oil changes, etc. For complicated problems, it may be best to take it to a dealer who has invested lots of money into diagnostic systems and so forth. But for basic service and routine maintenance, I trust them!

Poor Integrity
I`ll just cut and paste from my complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I can`t trust them anymore, which is all anyone really wants when choosing someone to repair their car. Unnecessary car repairs done and then not refunded when actual problem was found. Approximately July 25th of 2011, a problem arose in which when i turned the key to start my car, the lights, radio, power windows, etc. would turn on, but ther... view moree was no sound from the engine or the starter. It`s not that the engine would crank, it`s that nothing was triggering a reaction from the key. I figured it was a starter or an ignition issue (I AM NOT A MECHANIC), but i took it to the people at Froesel who diagnosed the problem as a battery issue. I mentioned that i had a new battery installed in December of 2010, and that if it was a battery issue it would seem that all the other electrical parts of the car would have been affected as well. The gentlemen at the desk, Gary, said to me ""When i hooked it up to the computer, it said there wasn`t any cold cranking amps."" I said that it didn`t sound true, and inquired as to whether it was common for a battery to have enough juice to run a radio, the lighting system, and the power windows, locks, etc., but not have enough energy to make one sound when turning the key. He told me, ""since today`s cars are really computer driven, sometimes the battery can bring up certain parts of the computer but not others."" It sounded suspect, but who am i to argue? So i paid my bill for $86.10 with my Visa card. About 2 weeks later, my exact same problem arose again. I would put the key in the ignition, all the lights would come on, and nothing from the engine. I brought it back to Froesel and i asked them to please check it again, because there was really no rhyme or reason as to when it would occur and I didn`t feel like being stranded somewhere (again). They were very busy when i dropped the car off on a Wednesday (August 24th), but they put me in the appointment book for Friday and said they would get to it then. On Monday (August 29th), they called back for the first time and said it was my starter (which is what i mentioned both the first time and the second time i dropped off the car). They said it would be around $300, and i asked them to please put the amount I spent on the battery toward the new repair and i would think nothing of it. Gary said, ""What do you want me to do, take this battery out?"". I said, ""No, the battery was unnecessary last time, as it didn`t fix the issue."" He repeated to me that the computer read that the old battery didn`t have any cold cranking amps, and then he proceeded to ask, ""Are you a mechanic?"" I told him i wasn`t, but i also wasn`t going to believe that 2 completely separate issues, with exact same symptoms developed within 2 weeks of each other, 100% independently, especially considering i had purchased a new battery 8 months prior. He asked me, ""What do you want me to do?"" I told him, ""I want you to refund the $86.10 and then I`ll go."" He told me he couldn`t do that, so i said I`ll file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I paid my bill, and left.
