Owner, Bill Rousseau, opened his business in September 2004. ? He has been a mechanic for nearly 40 years. ? He began his career working for notables such as Jack Schorr`s ? Nolan Road Transmission Shop, and spent almost 25 years between the automotive service shops of Matt Ford in Buckner, MO and Blue Springs Ford in Blue Springs, MO.
He is a general mechanic experienced in transmissions, engines, brakes and everyone else under the hood and elsewhere, and his many customers trust him to be fair and do a good job. ? Since opening his business it has grown largely by referrals, word of mouth customers, and he has 1000`s of happy customers. ? He is still at the same location where he first opened his doors.
On any given day his customers will bring in a myriad of large and small projects for him including lawn mowers, riding lawn mowers, lawn tractors, tractors, weed eaters, power washers, golf carts, go carts, mini bikes, small motorized cars, motorcycles, dune buggies, ATV`s, and every kind of repair needed on their car, jeep, SUV or light truck. ? Many customers will pick up one project and leave him another one.
Don`t be fooled by the name Small Engine Shop! ? If you asked Bill what he doesn`t do, he will simply tell you "Locomotives".
Pickup and delivery of some items is available upon request. ? Please call for pricing and more information.
In his time off you may find Bill scuba diving, jumping out of an airplane, he has over 1,000 jumps in so far, or teaching others to do so at the Missouri River Valley Skydivers in Lexington, MO, riding his Harley, racing out at the Kansas City International Raceway in the 1987 Mustang he and his best friend from high school, Marty, modified for drag racing, BBQ`ing at a contest in the globally renowned 1958? Cessna 182A Skylane airplane he and his friends resurrected from a life in the junkyard and modified into a fully functional and movable BBQ Smoker on wheels over 20 years ago, or just at home on the poop deck BBQ`ing for friends and family.
