Best car care in Smithville
I have on more than once to had my 2005 f150 in for repairs they were always very through and their prices were very reasonable. The work was done in a timely manner and as promised. I would highly recommend them and will use them again.

Great Service
I am not sure if these other people had written their reviews when it was under old management but I have taken my SUV there several times and have never had any issues. They have always treated me with respect and done a superb job on my vehicle. Even though I do not even live remotely close to Smithville, this is the place that I take my car every time. Even when I have had issues the Manager, I believe his name... view more is Brad, has done a great deal and managed to appease my needs. At any rate I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

Confused Mechanics
I would avoid this place for any type of repair. I originally took my car for an oil change. The employee suggested that I have the brakes checked due to the excessive travel in the pedal. The said that the brakes needed bleeding. This did not help so they suggested I replace the master cylinder that was bad. They said they could order one but it would take about a week. After replacing the Master Cylinder they calle... view mored and had me pick it up. After my wife drove it she said the brakes felt the same. What pissed me off was the fact that these idiots charged me $700.00 and let me take the car home.
We brought the car back and they said that the breaks would need to bled at Suzuki. This did not help. They service person said that the new Master Cylinder could be defective and ordered another. Well this finally fixed the problem and they did not charge me extra. I was glad to get out of that joint and vowed not to take my car back ever.

The internet is the consumers ...
The internet is the consumers best friend...This is the quintessential spike the cost or bait and switch automotive service center. Here?ˆ™s the scenario?ˆ¦an electric connector piece has corroded and broken. As I directed them to the exact problem?ˆ¦This is a small piece keeping the fuel pump powered and needs to be replaced. You cannot buy it new so I went myself to get the piece from a SALVAGE YARD they arranged for ... view moreME to pick it up at. They billed Hunt?ˆ™s for the part. Work gets done and I get the bill. Hours for labor is pretty accurate?ˆ¦.but wait! I am being charged, the never discussed, $70 for a small salvage yard electrical piece. I called around to see what salvage yards would charge and it averaged around $5 to $10 retail. I?ˆ™m confident that they would get better pricing being an automotive repair shop. After they saw the look on my face and my comment about charging me $70 for a salvage yard piece of wire, he did me the ?ˆ?great?ˆ™ favor of charging me $50. GREAT! That?ˆ™s now only a 1000% mark up! (is my math right?)for a piece I went and picked up myself?ˆ¦ok Hunt?ˆ™s ?ˆ¦here?ˆ™s your $70 for a parts that cost you guys around $5?ˆ¦I don?ˆ™t mind paying labor and a REASONABLE mark up on parts?ˆ¦but you just lost a long term customer that has 2 dated cars that need to be maintained...You would have made a lot more money than $70 by having me around as a long term customer. Good Luck! ...one customer down and few more to go before you shut down...

DON`T GO HERE!!!
Not only does this place have horrible service - but if you take your car in beware - they will use it to drive around town and run their own errands.
We needed new tires on our SUV and took it into this facility. I`ll give it to them to give us a decent deal but when we arrived to pick up our vehicle some teen comes speeding up out of nowhere in it and parks it. And get this - HE HAD A PASSENGER IN OUR SUV WI... view moreTH HIM!!! Seriously? He can`t use his own car to go pick people up? Not only is it a possible insurance issue - what if he would`ve gotten in a wreck but it is COMPLETELY unprofessional. When we called them on this all they could offer us was an oil change...oh yeah, and the manager decided to get smart and say ""if you want we can take all the tires off and refund the whole purchase"". They would take the time and effort to do this but weren`t able to just refund us the sum of the labor. We understand the tires are merchandise and do cost but I don`t see why someone should get paid when he isn`t following company policy. We were told to come pick up the coupon for a free oil change the following day. I arrived the next day to find out that the manager was not in and didn`t leave a note with the front desk, and to top it off, they weren`t able to contact him because they don`t have his phone number. We were told that if we want the oil change promised to us we would have to return the next day when the manager was in. I guess they just think the world revolves around their schedule and don`t bother to keep other employees informed about what`s going on. Forget the oil change, I am NEVER bringing my vehicle back here again, which is a pity because we used to do a lot of work with this facility before Hunts took over. The previous owners were wonderful. In fact, I ran into someone that worked there before the take over and was told that there were plenty of complaints about the new ownership.
