My car spent out on the highway it was raining and I was going 40 miles and hit the side rail and it was pulled to the side my grandmother and and my tow truck was on the way and the officer i spoke with told me that was fine that they could pick it up. the tow truck was around the corner within 15 min. and another officer would let them get my car they had the keys and everything.my grand mother gave D and L towing... view more the keys. they let down my window didnt let it back up and went throw my car((( I called to get my car the same day it was after five they closed at six im in north county wont`ed make it in time my car wasnt there no time they gave me a price of of $210. if I picked it up the next day he said $260. I Called before 9am it was a whole different price $340.00 wat a Ripe off and I asked for a rating chart and I was denied She refuse to give me the paper work I asked for It had a sign up avalib.upon request wont`ed let me speak to a manager had a nasty attitude they give differnet rates to different people why are they towing for North county and there over 15 miles away and across the bridge?

Terrible

My friend and I got pulled over, and he had been drinking and I hadn`t. He was driving, though, so we both got taken in and his car was towed. I had my wallet, my car keys, and my cell phone in his car. The next morning, as soon as I woke up, I called D & L and they were rude, uncooperative, and wouldn`t let me ge my things out of my car! I as livid considerin I did no illegal act, whatsoever, it wasn`t my car, and t... view morehey were my things! Unbelievable. The officer the previous night had even told me, ""Just go to D & L Rideout tomorrow morning and they will give you your things."" I felt it was extremely unfair. If I had been involved with anything that happened the night before, it would have been one thing, but the fact that I did nothing wrong and an officer personally told me that I could get my things the next morning made me so angry. I absolutely wouldn`t use D & L for my own personal car problems, and wouldn`t recommend it to anyone, either!

This place is a JOKE!!

My boyfriend had gotten pulled over and arrested. d&l towed the car to there location on old hwy 94. He went to get it and when he got there they wouldnt let him even see his car before he paid $510. Then after paying the money they walked to his car and it had 2 flats, that werent there, the front end was jammed into the car infront of it, causing the headlight to be broken and other front end damage. As If that isn... view moret enough, then they tell him they dont even have his keys!!!! when the car was towed it was because my boyfriend had unpaid tickets and he went to jail so the keys were in the car when it was taken by d&l. So after my boyfriend sees that he cant even get his car back, he asks for his money back, as would any other person in this situation. they then tell him they can only refund some of the money, if he signs the title over to them. so basically my boyfriend had to pay them $160.00 to wreck his car and lose his keys!!!! horrible horrible experience. i will also be contacting the better business bureau as well.

We called these folks on the advice of our car dealer. They said they`d be there within and hour. They never came. Repeated calls achieved nothing. ""Another 45 to an hour,"" we were told. We finally just canceled. Don`t use `em.
