Customer Service Beyond Belief
I had an issue with a Road Hazard warranty and couldn`t find anyone to help me until I called Dobbs Tire & Auto in Brentwood. Steve, was absolutely amazing and went out of his way to help someone that wasn`t originally involved with Dobbs to begin with. Because of his willingness to help me when I really had my hands tied, I will always come back to Dobbs in Brentwood for all of my car`s needs. Thank you Steve an... view mored the crew at Dobbs Tire & Auto Center in Brentwood, MO!!!!!

Dobbs is STILL Trying to Scam Customers!!!
Why in the Hell does Dobbs still exist? Has everyone forgotten the horrible red nightmare this place was and still is? They were on the local news for scamming and ripping customers off. I remember a traffic reporter going off on a rant while doing the traffic report. Dobbs tried to scam him, but they had no idea he was on the radio every day.
Here`s my recent experience with Dobbs...
I took my car to Dobbs Tir... view moree & Auto Center for an auto safety inspection, against my better judgment. I remember the news reports of them scamming customers and I am very aware that all chain automotive repair shop technicians get paid a commission to sell parts. But, I was desperate for an auto inspection and they were the only inspection station near my home that could get the job done on a Saturday. I dropped the car off, later I called to check the status of the inspection. I was told my car had failed inspection for a bad upper taillight and that it would cost $20.00 to repair it. I informed the technician that I would buy my own bulb, then come up and fix it myself (his tone of voice went kind of awkward upon hearing this). He paused, then said ok. He did not tell me that they had done any work on the car. Later, after purchasing a light from Wal-mart for $3.89, my buddy and I return to Dobbs. Upon arrival we test the brake light to insure it was indeed defective. Sure enough, the brake light does not work, so we proceed to remove the cover for the bulb. We untwist the socket, and immediately discover the bulb will not come out of the tail light housing. The bulb is stuck inside the housing, because its too large for the hole to be removed. We then proceed to disassemble the housing, something that should not be required to remove the bulb. Once we get the bulb out, it`s blatantly obvious that this is the wrong bulb for the socket and housing. Next, we reassemble the housing, insert our new bulb, we purchased, into the socket and test. It works perfectly, when the brake pedal is pressed. The new bulb also inserts perfectly into the hole in the housing, with the housing fully assembled, the way that it should. We go inside Dobbs to request a re-inspection of the light. Then we are informed that the shop has already replaced the bulb and the vehicle has passed the inspection. Questions... Why wasn`t I informed that the work had already been done and the car passed when I called? Why wasn`t the new bulb tested for functionality? When I asked these questions to the manager he become aggravated and tried to explain they were doing me a favor. Where`s the favor? Over charging me for a bulb replacement? Lying about what`s been done? Scamming me out of $20.00? Trust me I will not let this go!

Best service in town!
I have been going to the Promindade Dobbs (formerly Brentwood Dobbs when it was at its former site next to Applegates on Brentwood Blvd) for 20+ years. They do a great job at servicing all makes and models no matter how old. I had them service Nissan, Honda, Chevy, Pontiac, Dodge and Plymouth. NEVER a disapointment, NO hard or misleading sales tactics or surprises, and always ready when promised. These folks know wh... view moreat they are doing!
I`ve sent others there and have never had anyone tell me they weren`t satisfied or paid more than fair price. Convinced my new neighbor to go there since she needed second opinion on service. Got same service at better price with better warranty. Finally, this is THE place to buy tires - best selection and best prices.
This Dobbs does honest work. Go there!!!

Robbery. Do not trust these guys. Beware of their scare tactics.
We went in to have oil change and check a mysterious clicking noise coming from rear. They said the front and rear break pads were worn down, the front and rear rotors were ""too thin to be machined"" and the front calipers needed to be replaced because of a leak. They continued to press the issue by saying the breaks could stop working without notice because of the leak they found.
The total cost of parts an... view mored labor was going to exceed $1000! A second opinion found nothing wrong with the breaks and fixed the noise by lubricating the trunk latch.
Go somewhere else.
