TERRIBLE!!!!!
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM OR HAVE YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED BY THEM!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! We purchased a 2012 Camaro IN CASH two weeks ago, and requested that the advertisement sticker be removed from the back, in the process of removing it, they scratched up the paint. There was also damage to the paint on the hood. We were also told that the car had a recall on the air bag light, and that he shouldnt al... view morelow us to take it, but will, with the understanding the car will be brought back Monday to be repaired. After driving 45 miles, wasting my time and gas, I was told when I got there that the guy who was supposed to do the work was not in, and that I should bring the car back on Thursday. Didn`t even bother to repair the oh so important recall. I had plans Thursday, so the car was brought in the following Thursday, with the understanding we would pick the car up Friday, and gave us a cheap rental car to use, that we had to pay to put gas in. 3:00 Friday we get a phone call stating the car had to be re-done, and that we could not get it back until Monday. On further questioning, we were told it was not done correctly the first time, and that the paint was wet, and it needed to be buffed...I believe they never bothered to even BEGIN to repair the car until late friday, after having it for over 24 hours, and if all that is needed is for the paint to dry, and buffed...why do we have to wait until Monday....because they are closed. You would think after assuring us the car would be ready on Friday, they would make an effort to be sure we get the car ASAP, instead of what was convienent for them. I really wish we could return this car, as it is obvious they are un-professional, and incompetent. Karl is the service manager, and the person we have been dealing with this entire time. Again, I urge you to go elsewhere!! Buying a new car should be a happy and troublefree occasion. Thanks to them, we no longer even want it.

Ask for written verification for any deal!!
So I called to ask about a car advertised on their website. I got a very friendly salesperson who was apparently eager to help me. I was looking to do a ""sideways"" or even trade of my vehicle for the one advertised. Mine and theirs are blue booked about the same, and are selling for about the same, according to my research. In fact, the vehicle I was looking to trade in is, in most cases, selling at a higher price ... view morethan the one I was looking to trade for. Anyway, they first offered me a trade in value of about $2000 less than ANY other dealer (Jackson, TN, Nashville, TN or Memphis) I had talked to so far, but I know they are car dealers, they gotta try, right? Well, when I turned them down, they quickly raised their offer to meet those I had been given, going from a $3600 deficit between the two vehicles to and even trade, but I would have to pay sales tax. ""But this isn`t a sale,"" I said, ""no money exchanged, right? so what am I paying tax on?"" Oh, well, in that case... another conference with the manager, another few calls (I live 2 hours from the dealer and was trying to save a trip if the deal was not going to work) and suddenly the deal is on. ""Even trade?"" I asked, and was told yes, even trade. So I head out to go to the dealer, title in hand. On the way, I called a friend I had who is in the auto dealer industry who was helping me look for a car, to tell him I found one. When I told him who the dealer was, he suggested I get a written verification of the deal before I waste the gas, due to the reputation of this dealer. When I called and asked for the verification, there were suddenly some ""unpaid charges in the service department"" that would would have to be paid first... But I didn`t ask for anything to be done to the vehicle, so how is it that I am responsible for any charges? I feel like this was a bait and switch, and I am SO glad I didn`t waste my time and gas driving all the way there! BUYER BEWARE! (Always, of course, but especially here!!)

When you are ready for a new car, start with Chuck Hutton Chevrolet. When I bought my Chevy Aveo there recently, the sales experience was exceptional, but the Service Department is just as remarkable, I soon discovered. I took my car in last week because I was unable to get the A/C running efficiently. Terry Lamb explained that I was not pressing the right buttons, She not only told me; Terry took me out to my ve... view morehicle and showed me several ways to take best advantage of the car`s cooling system. While my car was undergoing a routine inspection, the staff noticed bubbling on the grille. I hadn`t even detected that, but the grille was replaced without charge. I know that the city of Memphis is currently gathering votes for this year`s "Best of." I am pleased, but not surprised, to see Chuck Hutton among the top dealerships. I am determined to juggle my schedule, by the way, to take advantage of Wednesdays: Ladies` Day. What a nice custom! Keep up the good work, Terry!
