Reviews:

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER
Had the ""Road Hazard Warranty"" on a tire we bought last fall. $179.79 later we replaced the ""warrantied"" tire. They claimed the tire pressure sensor was destroyed when the tire blew and charged us $122+ to replace it. The part (if we really needed it--read the other reviews) costs $29.00 free shipping on the internet. If I have another tire problem I will replace all 4 with someone else before they get one mo... view morere penny of my money.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - unneeded repairs ""recommended"" by tech
This location attempted to stack additional ""repairs"" onto my service.

Took my 08 Honda Odyssey for rear brake pad replacement. Having just taken it to Buerkle Honda a month before, this was the only repair needed (per the dealership).

While waiting for the inspection to be completed, I noticed that of the 3 people who were paying for their service, all 3 coincidentally needed an air filter replaced ... view moreas well as the windshield wipers replaced.

When this location performed their inspection (by Donald Nelson), it was determined that the van needed:

Brake Pad Replacement (agreed)
Rotor Replacement (although the dealership indicated that the rotors were fine one month ago and the pads would need to be replaced eventually)
Flush Brake System (just done by dealership a month ago when front brakes were replaced)
Wiper Blades (wife just had $30 Bosch blades installed 2 weeks ago)
Fuel System Cleaning (just done by dealership a month ago)
Air Filter (also just replaced on last service at the dealership a month ago)

When I asked the sales associate (the guy selected Ed as the sales associate in their system, but the name Dave appears as the Service Advisor - not sure of the guy`s name) to explain to me how the wiper blades and other items needed replacing when the dealership indicated that there was no need or had just replaced the item, he became very argumentative. He began grasping at other potential causes for the ""issues"" they identified.

One statement regarding the rotors was ""the factory rotors are really light and small in order to lighten the weight of the vehicle and improve gas mileage, so they practically need replacing when they are put on.""

I would not take any vehichle to this location unless you would like to pay for repairs that are unneeded or you would like to have a sales associate argue with you.

STAY FAR AWAY from this location!!!
Stay far away from this store - Drive a little ways and go to the one in Edina or some where else, but this one. I`ve dealt with bad customer service, but this take the top spot on my list. This particular store employed some non-educated customer service behind the service desk. Now, I see why they were dead (no customers) when I was there. I will never ever take my car there or even buy a simple item from that ... view morestore. There are so many places that you can take your car to and pay the same amount and get better service than this store. The owner should wonder why his revenue is in the declining state.

The last review is no longer appropriate.
This store is now under new Management and is an entirely different store. Their staff is polite and responsive to your requests. The work is done quickly and is not overpriced. This change took place in February of 2008. They do give your car an inspection and will advise you of anything they see that may need repair but do not pressure you to purchase anything other than what you came in for. I have had my car... view more in for service on 2 occasions under the new management and do not plan to go back to my car dealership for anything other than major engine work. I highly recommend this store and do recommend it to all my friends. Ask for Tom at the store.

Avoid If Possible
RUN AWAY! Do not go to this Firestone if you value your time, energy, and money. Beware if they touch anything other than your tires. They can put on tires cheaply, but that`s about it. I have been here three times and each time was progressively worse than the last. They do not call customers when they say they will, they do not pick you up on time when they say they will, the car is never ready when they say it`ll b... view moree, and the workmanship is questionable. The 2nd time I was there they said my car would be ready in two hours. It ended up being 3.5 hrs. That time they repaired a part on my car, didn`t put it in right the first time, it came loose two months later and was a borderline safety issue. My other automechanic looked at the loose part and he said it was not installed correctly because two bolts on the part were missing and had fallen off. I called Firestone, they told me the technician who fixed it was not very good and didn`t work there anymore. Firestone repaired the part for free since there is a 6 month warranty, but in the process they left grease stains and smudges all over the back seat and on the upholstery on the door. They do not have a shuttle service but they do ""courtesy"" pick ups and drop offs, but don`t count on them being there when they say they will. They can give an estimate of when they will be there, but add an hour to that to get the real time. If you get tired of waiting and call to say you`ll wait another fifteen minutes and then you`ll get a ride from someone else, they may not communicate well with each other to cancel the ride. This means that your car won`t be at Firestone when you get there because someone will be driving it to pick you up, even though you cancelled the ride. So you`ll wait for that person to bring your car back. After all this trouble all you`ll get is an ""I`m sorry,"" a car full of grease stains on the carpet and upholstery, and several hours of lost time, not to mention lost money.Go to Autopia instead.
