Reviews:
Horrible customer service from the owner!!!!!!
When I bought my car it came with a 30 day warranty, and they said that beings I live 1 ?? hours away from the dealership they would be willing to work with my local mechanic rather than driving all the way back there to get warranty work done, if I should need it. After a few days the heat stopped working and I called there to let them know that I did need some warranty work done. I talked to the owner Scott, who ask... view moreed me to go to my local mechanic to get a quote, and said that he thinks it is the thermostat as they have replaced a few of them already on their cars. I went to my local mechanic and they said that without running some diagnostics on it, they might not be able to give a accurate quote as it could be the thermostat, or the heater core or something else. I called Scott back to tell him this, and he just laughed and said that it is just a way for shops to make money. Scott told me that he does NOT pay shop supplies, he really thinks that it is only the thermostat and he wants only Mopar parts to be put in it. Now at this point, Scott should have asked me for the name and number to the shop that I talked to, as it is good customer service to NOT put your customer in the middle of something like this. Scott had me call him back to let him know that he will not cover shop supplies, he only wants Mopar parts and that he wanted to know how much they charge per hour. I called Scott back with the information that I received from the shop. I let him know how much they charge per hour and he just sighed and said that it is way too much and he can get cheaper where he is at, and then he said that he did not make very much money on my car. To me this is another cardinal rule that you do not do when working with customers is complain about how much money you are NOT making off of them.

Continuation of my first review
After I talked to Scott for a little bit, he told me how much he was only going to pay to have my mechanic work on it. I called my mechanic back and let him know everything I got from scott (and my mechanic did not complain once! He said that he will do his best to meet his demands). The next day my mechanic faxed me a estimate which was $60.00 more than scott said he would pay. I faxed that to Scott, and I got a pho... view morene call a few hours later stating that I HAD to bring my car back to him to have the warranty work done. Now I had to work with my wifes parents (who also live in Glencoe, MN) and they were going to be in the area that day, and gave us their car and took mine back to Al?ˆ™s. 2 days later they called back and let me know that my car is done and the heat now works, and said that it was the thermostat. Everything was going good, and I was glad to not have to deal with Scott at Al?ˆ™s ever again, until 3 weeks later when the heat in my car went out again. We brought it to my mechanic who looked at it and after running some diagnostics said that the thermostat was bad on it. We called back to Scott to let him know that the thermostat was bad again, and once again he said that we HAD to bring it back out there (which is again, 1 ?? hours away from my house)We made arrangements to bring the car back out there again, and Scott said that he would give us a loaner until my car was fixed (hopefully the right way this time). When we got there, his exacts words were ?ˆ? I hate come backs?ˆ? meaning he hates cars that come back for warranty work. He seemed really rushed and did not seem like he wanted to deal with us at all, and when we told him that we could be back to pick up the car on Friday or Saturday (we both have full time jobs) he said that he cannot have the loaner gone for that long as he needs it back on the lot so he can sell it. So he expects us who work full time jobs in the city, to leave after work (6pm) and drive almost 2 hours to go pick up my car because this is a inconvienence to him? We just left the loaner car at my wifes parents house and borrowed their car. I would NOT recommend that anyone buys a car from Al?ˆ™s auto sales in Glencoe MN!
