VERY disappointed

I also suspect some of the reviews written on here are from employees as well. I brought my Audi there also prior to doing any research. Was charged nearly $100 just for an inspection of my car. After paying that they told me they are not sure what`s wrong with my car. All of the possibilities were very expensive, thousands and thousands of dollars expensive. They then proceeded to tell Mr they could do all the work ... view moreand it still might not be fixed. So I paid them $100 dollars for them to tell me they don`t know. Brought my car to some real mechanics and they fixed the issue. CV joint was bad. Fixed it for a fraction of what these scammers quoted me.my experience, these guys are idiots and lack integrity. I will never go back. I may even report them to the bbb

I do a lot of work myself and ...

I do a lot of work myself and have worked in shops in the past but have never had a better auto repair experience than german auto service. GAS delivers what all auto repair shops should strive for. Over the past few years, I have taken volkswagens, BMW, Mercedes to GAS for things from simple oil changes to complex and custom fabrication jobs. Almost every time I was surprised with a quicker and lower cost repai... view morer or customization than I had expected. These guys know their stuff and are honest. I have and would recommend them to anyone with a car...of any make.

I do a lot of my own work but ...

I do a lot of my own work but this is the only shop in town I will let work on my cars. I feel they are honest and make and accurate diagnosis of repairs needed instead of just throwing parts at it. They also did some work on my DeLorean in the past, not many shops in the area will touch them but German pulled through and got it back on the road. They called before doing any work or ordering any parts.

Great shop

I have been to German Auto service a few times and have no regrets and have no issues. They offer friendly service and no hassles. I own BMW`s and VW`s both of which have been here with quality results.

The person below me obviously ...

The person below me obviously works at German Auto Service Ltd. I have heard nothing but horrible reviews of this place since moving to Grand Rapids, MI. Unfortunately, I took my x5 here prior to researching the company. They charged me hundreds $$$ of dollars for merely an expection of my vehicle without letting me know what the problem was. great service

Honest and reliable shop where they know cars and treat customers with respect. My next car will be a used German car so I can take it here. The owners and employees at German Auto have been around a long time. They communicate well, and I always receive good service there. Not inexpensive. A little lower than dealership rates but much better service.
