I have always found Bruce to be honest and competent. I`ve been to E&H many times. They are not the cheapest place around, but I`ve never been charged for work that didn`t get done right. Had one case with a Van that had a short in a wire in the harness. When it would touch metal, the whole vehicle would shut down. Bruce found that it was blowing fuse 6. That helped me narrow down the problem. All he charged me f... view moreor was the fuse, since he couldn`t find where it was shorting out (a specialty shop found that later). Much better than the McFadden Dodge dealership in SH that said it was a bad fuel pump, charged me $600 and fixed nothing (couldn`t even produce the old fuel pump they supposedly changed). I guess I`ve appreciate that I`ve never felt like Bruce or Dennis would ever screw you over. It`s a bit pricey, but they get it done right (in my experience).

Godsend for a traveler at the end of a day.
Bruce Robinson accurately diagnosed a faulty throttle position sensor and gave my wife and I a helping hand at the end of a long day of traveling. He impressed me as one of the most honest and truly caring mechanics I have ever met. He was careful in his diagnostic work and clear in his instructions that would require a Subaru dealer to repair - based on the parts needed. We appreciate his time and professional ex... view morepertise. Thanks. Travelers from Omaha

Great Auto Shop for flushing cash and almost dying.
My parents have been taking their auto`s to E&H for a long time, since the late 90`s. I recently moved back here to S.H. and bought a used car. I needed a gas tank replaced, brake lines replaced, two ball joints, CV Axel, and Tie Rod. First was the brake-line job. When I picked up my car, it was brought out of the shop by a foreigner who relentlessly squeeled my tires. The same guy did my brake line and left the old ... view moreone under the car just dangling. Next was the gas tank. It was used but in great condition. From the time it was in the shop to the time I got it, It had been damaged but I didn`t know yet. I proceeded to leave E&H and got gasoline. When I did, it started pouring from underneath my car. I took it back, they put it on a lift and proceeded to tighten my Fuel Lines. It still slowly leaked. When I looked at it, they siad ""Right here on the seam is where it`s leaking from."" Just below the seam you can tell they SLAMMED it up against something pointed and dense which caused the seal to break loose. Did I get any money back? NO. Did they replace it? NO. Next my ball-joint went bad. It got towed and dropped off. They *supposedly* replaced both ball joints, my CV Axel(DS) , and a tie rod end (DS). When I picked my car up this time, I drove to Bangor where my brother just moved to. On my way there, my steering wheel started to shake. I stopped at Speedway and checked my lug nuts. Well, all 5 were FINGER loose! They didn`t take of the plastic cap`s that conceal my lug nuts when they torqued it, so they basically just torqued the caps on to the nuts which called for 20 minutes of labor to pry them off with a socket while still on the studs. Finally I got them off then proceeded to FINISH the job that I paid $268 for. Let`s re-cap. Replace 1 brake line = $145 @ E&H and was not finished-old line still hanging and pressure block needed tightening. Gas Tank $50, Labor $240 (might I add this was for nothing, they damaged it so it still leaks and I`m out my $290.) And last but not least, $268 for 2 ball joint`s, 1 CV Axel, 1 Tie Rod End, 5 finger loose lugs and almost a Manslaughter Charge and lawsuit. Do NOT go to E&H, go to Bobby on CNTY RD 380, three drive-way`s down on the right after making left @ Jericho Country Store on 43.
