On 11/13/13 I took my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer into Master Radiator to be serviced. There was a leak that I suspected was coming from the engine intake manifold. I explained this to the service advisor and asked them to verify the problem. I received a call later that evening advising that there was no leak in the manifold and that the leak was at the thermostat housing. I authorized the repairs, which included repla... view morecing the thermostat, seal, radiator hoses, along with a power flush, coolant and the hood shocks. This repair totaled $430.81. I took my vehicle home and the next day realized it was still leaking. I immediately took it back to Master Radiator. They looked it over and informed that I did indeed have a leak in the intake engine manifold and the repairs that they had performed the previous day did not fix the problem. Additionally, the person in charge (didn`t get name) went on to explain that the service I had paid for was maintenance and would have been recommend-however, it was not necessary to fix the original problem which was the leak. So now I am out $430.81 to fix a problem that was not addressed and the person in charge only offered to discount the necessary repair by $75, which will total appx $480 additional dollars.

Saved the day
I was on my way to pick up my daughter from my in-laws and my van broke. I had it towed to Master Radiator on Elizabeth Lk Rd. They fixed my van the next day and it ended up that I broke my tie-rod, and my trans axle. I have had no problems with my van that they can`t help me with and I highly recommend them to everyone. Not only did I receive awesome customer service (with a free cup of the best coffee ever) but the... view more mechanic took time to explain to me what happened and he even told me a few things not to do while driving. I can`t believe just how lucky I was to have been able to get out of the way of oncoming traffic. When my van broke I was making a left turn at Clarkston and Baldwin and just stopped in the middle of the road. It was so scary. I am so relieved that I have such a great place to take my van if I have any trouble. Honestly, if you have a problem with your car, truck, van, whatever it is, take it to Master Radiator across from the Summit Kia and have them help you.
Thanks again everyone, you really saved my day!!!
