Mediocre tint job

Moved to a different city (shelby twp) had my car done here. Spoke with the owner and was hesitant on trying someplace new without a referal from someone local, he stated hes been doing it for 22 yrs and is one of the best around. So I gave him a try.
The turn around was great, only 1.5 hrs to do the job, guess that is where the poor installation comes from... my last few cars were dropped off, 4 hour installa... view moretions.

I would rather have someone take their time doing the job than rushing it. It seems that he is in the business of churning out the vehicles than the quality of the installation.

So, on to my issues with the installation:

* Miss cut tint, you can see from outside it was clearly cut below the gasket, and his response was, ""well there is no light coming through into the car, from the inside you wont notice"".
* Spots in the tint, his response ""I`m not in a dust free environment, no one will have perfect tint""

My recommendation: find someone who will recommend a place, and if the installation takes only an hour and a half, dont do it.

window decals

I recently had a decal sticker put on my back window, that was 2 months ago and it already feel off! I am so frustrated and am curious if you cant put a sticker on a car properly how can you tint windows? It started peeling off right away and we have been leaving messages sense and not received a call back. Not only is it extremely poor work quality its horrible customer service! Terrible

Avoid business with these people all together. Put tint on my vehicle, the tint job was terrible and the tint eventually came off. Wanted to charge me for a new labor fee. Do not let prices fool you, the job is just as low as the price.

Excellent product and customer service

We have had 3 previous vehicles, our home and are about to have our newest vehicle tinted with Darkside Window Tinting. I have nothing but high praise for this company. We had our house windows tinted about 5 years ago because we have wood floors and alot of windows - we were afraid the floors and our furniture would be faded by the sunlight. He was on time and completed the job quickly and I haven`t had one problem in 5 years - and absolutely no fading (unlike some of my neighbors who don`t have the tint). Darkside Window Tinting Horrible Business Practices!!

We wanted to have our windows tinted before moving across country to ease heat and UV exposure during the trip. I called around town to compare prices. All local window tinters quoted us around $295 for an 07 Toyota Corolla. Since there was no huge price variance, we just took a gamble on Darkside Window Tinting. They assured us they could have the windows tinted before our trip. We made an apt for a Friday afternoon... view more which they called to reschedule later on that week for the following Monday. That was fine with us. Our appointment was rescheduled for Monday at 8AM. We showed for our appointment time, but the owner did not. We were told by the office employee they would not be able to tint our windows that day. Darkside called two hours later to let us know the owner showed up and we could drop our car off now. I can not speak on behalf of their product because I was so peeved by them at this time I was not going to give them my business. Point is, there is no cost benefit to taking your business to Darkside so I suggest going to someone who cares more about their business practices and customer service. It might save you a headache!
