What an Experience!
Folks, beware of the arrogant personnel here! These guys are so "out of touch" with customer service that it is a wonder they can sell anything! Here`s my recent experience: Ordered a radio removal tool kit for my 02` beetle and they send me a kit that has one key in it instead of the 2 needed to remove the radio. I call them and the parts rep states that he needs to check the warehou... view morese about this and will call me back in 5 minutes to update me. 45 minutes pass, so I call back to check on the status of my inquiry and I get the general sales manager who takes a defensive posture with me immediately......obviously this guy has no customer service skills at all! After 10 minutes of "badgering" by an individual who should be displaying empathy and compassion for the customer, I decided that this was a fruitless endeavor trying to teach him how to handle this situation. Eastablishing a confrontational relationship with your customer over a $16 dollar part was something I must have missed while getting my MBA?
In conclusion: folks, save your time and money and pursue your VW parts where the organization understands the added value that empathy and compassion bring to the retail sales experience. Perhaps the addage, "you reap what you sew" fits my experience with this organization well. Rude, calleous and indifferent behavior with your customer base leads to decreased sales and a negative customer perception. Certainly a company that I would not recommend doing business with!

I`ve done business with Parts ...
I`ve done business with Parts Place for almost 25 years. I`ve owned 5 Volkswagens, and 4 of them have been equipped with parts for Parts Place (which used to be called recycled bugs). You might wonder about the 5th VW and my low rating I gave them.
It has been 10 years since I owned a VW, but just recently got a 2001 New Beetle, and visiting the Detroit area, I decided to stop by my old friend. I got there at 5:4... view more5pm, just as he was closing. The web site had indicated they are open to 6pm. I asked the attendant, whom I recognized as owner Jack.
I told Jack just needed a few parts, and would be quick, but he said they were closed. I indicated I was from the west side of the state, and indicated the web site said they where open till 6pm. He said the web site didn?ˆ™t say this, and I mentioned I had just looked at it and it did. He then shouted at me to ?ˆ?get the Fxxx out of here?ˆ? and walked away. Stunned?ˆ¦ all I could say is that anyway to treat an old customer, as he got in his van and started to drive off.
The other employee, who was also walking to his car, called me over and started to apologize on behalf of Jack. Jack then pulled behind the employee?ˆ™s car, started to berate him, and demanded we both get off his property.
I left, but did notice the mail order office open on the way out, and stopped there. They looked up the parts I needed, but didn?ˆ™t have them (a cup holder, a hubcap and a exhaust downpipe). This facility is a shell of itself from the old days. Basic used parts I wanted, they didn?ˆ™t have in stock.
Jack needs to be put out to pasture, or at the very least, a sign hung around his neck to give customers fair warning. Don?ˆ™t waste your time here.
