watch out for pricey quotes

I was actually shocked by this companies pricing. I was calling around trying to get the lowest price for switching out two tires I own on my van. I own the tires. Just need to have someone take the old ones off and put my new ones on that I own. I asked him the price and his first question was what size rims. I said I dont know, regular rims. He said the starting rate was 34.95. I said total right and he sa... view moreid no per tire. I said are you sure we are talking the same thing? He said yea the starting rate is 34.95 per tire indicating it could be more. I said thats outrageous! I said I have been calling around and Firestone directly across the street charges 14.95 per tire and another place was 17.95. He hung up! I was trying to find a place to do it fast and at the best price.

Charged for service I never received, recommended unnecessary repairs

I took my car in for routine service and an oil change. While servicing my car, they called me with an urgent message stating that I needed new brakes when in fact I did not. They tried to hard-sell me on an unnecessary repair, and also failed to perform the oil change I asked for. If I had not happed to check my oil levels, I never would have known until my engine failed.

However, they did not fail to ch... view morearge me for the oil change, even though they didn`t perform it. Friendly staff and a courtesy van if needed, but shady folks that will try to rip you off. Go the extra few miles to a competent garage.

Speed demons

Very helpful on the phone when I was choosing my tires. The tires I decided upon were delivered to the store in the same day. They estimated about 1 hour for installation; must have been a slow day, because 2 guys got assigned to my car and put the tires on in 10 minutes. What service!!
