Believe in Bolles!
The Bolles Family started out this journey in the automobile world in 1976. A repair shop ran by the entire family in their own backyard with Mrs. Bolles running the office and children Tom and Darlene helping out after school. Mr. Bolles always dreamed about going beyond the backyard and being successful in the mainstream. So he ventured out in the heart of Ellington, Route 83, to run a service station. Brian, his eldest son came to work and manage the Mobil Station. A few years went by, the station started to flourish, and an opportunity to start selling used vehicles came about.Through the months, business was doing fine up until the winter season came about. Mr. Bolles decided it was time to expand to keep business running all year round so an addition to the gas station was in order. But he thought a car dealership was the better way to go. Even though he had no experience in running a new car dealership, Mr. Bolles was willing to take the risk. With Brian Bolles already showing how successful he was running a gas station, Mr. Bolles had the confidence to move forward with his family in taking on the challenge. So in 1984 the journey started in Ellington by purchasing the old Mickey`s Motors building.1999 was the year of a second location in Union, CT and was moved to a brand new facility in Stafford Springs in 2006. Thirty years and two successful locations later, the Bolles family and the cornerstone motto, "Never ever give up" helped push everyone through the highs and lows to be where they are today. From the first employees, who some are still employed to this day, to the present people working with us today, Bolles Motors and Bolles Chrysler Dodge Jeep are happy that through it all they are still here serving the community. Now, they continue to move forward with the recent addition of the Dodge lineup in Ellington to the newly acquired Connecticut State Emissions Program here in Stafford Springs, Bolles will look to help serve the community for years to come.
