way overpriced, the drivers all act like there better than you because fou one moment in time you need them so they take advantage of that moment. would never do business with them again. and dont recommend anybody else use them.

Abandon humanity all ye who enter here...

During snow emergencies, most tow companies quickly and competently perform the necessary task of making streets safer and keeping roads clear. I understand and appreciate their purpose.

I`m also aware that giving a negative review will accomplish nothing. Tow companies aren`t adversely affected by negative ratings because they will always be in business, and they will always have the upper hand. There`s no wa... view morey around this. They take your car without your consent or knowledge and demand a small fortune -- cash only, of course -- before returning it to you. It`s a sad fact of life in New England (and anywhere with heavy snow) but it does ensure that streets are clear for plowing.

And, to be fair, G/J Towing was hassle-free once I arrived with their $123 fee/ransom money. I was there less than 2 minutes and they turned over the keys immediately. The reason for the low rating is the unacceptable and disrespectful way I was treated before coming to their office.

I realize we aren`t exactly ""customers"" when our cars are towed due to snow emergencies, but my interaction over the phone with G/J was totally devoid of humanity, decency, and reason. I was treated like a petulant child, subjected to profanity, and hung up on simply for inquiring about the details of their towing policies.

I hope my conversation was one of the least negative they`ve experienced. I`m sure they been on the receiving end of every kind of insult, threat, and antagonistic human vitriol imaginable. It`s a thankless, miserable job, and you need a pretty thick skin to constantly be on the defensive. But it`s inexcusable to treat someone that way without provocation.

If you`re fortunate enough to have a choice in your towing needs, please try someplace else.

Best Service I ever Had!

I broke down with a flat tire on Rte 107 in Chelsea, MA on 15 May 2007 @ 330am on my way to an early morning commitment in Hartford, CT. I flagged down a passing tow truck, GJ Towing driver named Justin. He told me he was returning from another call and he saw me broke down a few minutes before while delivering that car. I told him my trouble. He offered to help me and asked me if I belonged to any auto clubs. I ... view moretold him I was an AAA member but I did not have my membership card. He told me that although this was not his AAA service area,(it was another company`s) he would accept AAA and even call them to confirm my membership without the card. He began to change the flat and to my horror we could not find the key to unlock my lug nuts. He told me not to worry that he had a tool in his truck to open it, and he did with no damage to my wheel!! Then as we removed the spare we noticed that it too was flat whit a huge nail sticking out of it. Without a word he took out some other things and repaired and filled my spare tire with air at no extra charge. To be honest I couldn`t believe the speed of service and friendliness of the driver!! He made some humorous comments and told me it could be snowing or raining. I offered him a $20 tip and he absolutely refused to take it, he told me his company pays him good money that he did not want the $20, but if I wanted to, two bucks for a cup of coffee was all he would accept. The biggest surprise of that early morning was that when I climbed back into my car and looked at my clock...it was 0415 AM. Only 45 minutes from the time I broke down till I drove away. Amazing! If you can use this company you will not be disappointed!!

Worst possible service, Very very very Rude and inefficient.

the person who was sent to tow our car was first of all 2 hours late, was waiting about a quarter mile away from the pickup location and Finally when i found him, he was extremely rude.
My car had sludge issues, and because of that the engine would not start, i communicated this problem to him and clearly told him that the engine will not start, i also told him not to try to start the car, since that could result... view more in more damage to the valves. But inspite of me communicating this to him, he still went ahead and tried to start the car. at that point, i was really upset at him and asked him why did he try to start the car even after i told him not to start the car. He became more rude at that point and i had to cancel the call because he was being totally unreasonable and behaving as if he was doing a favor to me by towing my car.

Please take this advice and stay away from these guys, totally unprofessional and rude and do not deserve business, there are lots of companies out there to choose from. Save yourself grief.
