This shop is a big joke. I dropped off my car for an oil changed and told Ell - the owner- that my car was park on the side of the street. I gave him my information and described my car to him. I left my contact information and left the shop. 10 mins later I got a call from Ell with an attitude, stating he couldn`t find my car. (seriously?) AND that he had no time to send for one of his guy to go an get it. I ex... view moreplained to this person that my car was parked 200 yards from his shop (as I told him before I left the shop). At that time I just decided to get my car back and forget it about it. Being myself in the customer service industry I was SHOCK to say the least about how this people treat their customer. In my opinion NO ONE from the SE community should be doing any business with this shop. How these people stay in business? that`s the mystery.

The WORST
First off, they answer the phone rude! They can " never hear or understand what your saying" and their prices and attitudes are absurd!!! For the past 3 years anywhere I go for synthetic oil change it is 49$. I have ALL my receipts!! Theirs is 79.99 plus a $10 fee for my car and 4.00 fee for disposing oil PLUS tax. Meaning I`m going to pay nearly $100 for an oil change!!! Where do you guys live?!?!?? When I... view more say politely " don`t you think that`s a little much?" he screamed and hung up on me! Another reason, forget about flexibility with appointments. If you have a coupon you HAVETO go in at 8am on Saturdays! No other day or time...don`t they realize people have jobs and families?! The WORST! SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND A HEADACE!

Worst Service. Ever.
I`m not a tremendously hard customer to please. I only ask that the person or persons performing the service on my car be professional. I`m not even asking the service provider to be nice, mind you. The treatment I received when I visited Ell Bern this week was beyond unpleasant. I merely asked to have my car inspected since my sticker had just expired. I was belittled and made to look like a fool by any person ... view morewithin earshot. It was disgusting.
When you own a small time mechanic shop you depend almost entirely on word of mouth (i.e. you don`t have a large corporate moniker to hide behind like Meineke or Jiffy Lube). It`s why I scratch my head wondering why, if you depend so much on personal referrals for business, you would treat a customer so poorly. It was as if he were telling me that he didn`t want my business. It`s career suicide.
The bottom line? It`s not worth going there if you`re going to be treated like garbage. Don`t give this guy your business when there are countless other mechanics in the City who would love to service your auto with a smile.
