Reviews:
Worst Customer Service Ever
I have never had such poor customer service. I took my car in at 11am for a brake job, and an engine check. They told me it would be done in 4 hours. At 8pm I called them, and they told me the car wouldn`t be done that evening, but it would be done first thing in the morning. At 10am I called and they told the car would be done by 1pm at the latest.
At 12:45 I show up, and the car still wasn`t done, and to make ma... view moretters worse, they didn`t have the part to finish the job. I was told the service manager would come out in 15 minutes to speak with me. At 2:45 I still hadn`t spoken with him, and I could see him hanging out in the garage
At 1:45 they told me the right part had finally shown up, and the car would be done in 5 minutes. Apparently what they meant, was the distributor cap would be done in 5 minutes, but what they failed to tell me, was that my brake job wasn`t even close to being done, in fact all four of my wheels were taken apart and sitting on the floor. It took them another hour to put my wheels back together.
It cost me $1200 to be without a car for an entire day. If they had called me, or had told me it would take so long I would have gotten a rental car, but instead I missed two business meetings.
The only thing the staff had to say, was thanks for my business.
Never Again

Unnecessary Charge foe test
Service Engine soon light came on. They wanted to charge $97 to tell me what the problem was and what they will charge me to fix it. I have a problem paying them to tell me what I have to pay them. I called Autozone directly across the street. They tested it for FREE; told me what the code is and meant and what to do. I called Pep Boys and they said they needed to run the test; I said fine but no cost. They sai... view mored they still need to charge?!? Lost my business.

POOR SERVICE AND A RIP OFF - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
YOU`LL BE SMART TO AVOID THESE GUYS! The Pep Boys automotive repair on Route 16 in Everett, Massachusetts USED TO BE TRUSTWORTHY and have good dependable service, but NOT ANYMORE. Took my car that was stalling frequently to Pep Boys. They said they changed the alternator, but I know they didn`t. My radio and clock in the car would have needed setting, and remarkably they were the same as they were before I left the c... view morear with them. The car continued to stall afterwards. Had it been repaired properly, it wouldn`t stall at all. The vultures tried to use my return visit to sell me a tune-up and say the motor was skipping. I may not know a lot about cars, but I know the difference between skipping and stalling. I also know when I am being handed a bill of goods and someone is trying to take me for a ride. Pep Boys never did it before, but they have changed and they do their best to take advantage of women. What a rip-off - and all at a price tag of over $300.00! Don`t know how they stay in business pulling this kind of garbage. Won`t go there again, and I have been going there for years. They have lost a good customer. The staff is not the same. These guys are all new and a bunch of punks. Trust me, stay away!
