I started going to Timonium Auto Specialists after being marjorly ripped off by Mr. Tire a few years ago. They always manage to fit me in for an oil change. They never bother me with unecessary repairs or try to nickel and dime me. Now if I could only find their new shop in Cockeysville...

Mechanics at Timonium Auto

The mechanics that work at Timonium Auto really go the extra step. I first found out about them by getting a flat tire right infront of their shop. They stopped what they were doing to help me push my vehicle in their lot. They had me plugged and out of the door in 15 minutes. Take it from an honest american

Timonium Auto is THE most honest mechanic shop around. They have great business ethics and do great work. They appreciate their customers and always put them first. Howard Douglas should be criminally charged with being an ugly man ;) I would not take my vehicle anywhere else. The fine men there treat my wife and I like family. Been going there for 15 years never once second guessed them.

I know.

I know that we at Timonium Auto Specialists do rip people off and cheat. We at Timonium Auto Specialists have no idea what we are doing and just but parts on a car to make money. We don`t really do State inspection we just walk out to the car and just start writing things up. That`s what we do. There`s nothing you can do about it. If you don`t like it go some were else. We are king you are scum.

Horrible, Horrible and HORRIBLE

I went to Timonium Auto for a State inspection to change my tags over to MD. They failed my car for corroded battery cables, stickers in the window and a leaking rack and pinion. They quoted me 1,024.00 to replace my rack. I do not have that kind of money as a college student paying on her own. I checked around for the best prices and found Tyres Auto. They quoted me just as high, but then called back offering a used... view more part that was significantly less, but just as good, so I went there. They put my vehicle in the air and ran it for an hour to see where the leak was coming from. Turns out, they said my hose that connects to the rack was leaking ONTO the rack. That was half the price to fix, which I was happy about. They told me to bring my car in before I went back to Timonium for re-inspection so that they could verify the problem was fixed and they gave me the Okay. I went to Timonium afterward and they failed me again, saying the rack was not fixed. They showed us where the leak was from and said (I quote) ""We see where the other shop cleaned it up, but it`s still leaking. We didn`t fail you for the leaking hose, we failed you for the rack."" My problem was, if you saw I had a leaking hose, leaking power steering fluid non-the-less, why didn`t you tell me? So either way, I called back Tyres, and they are going to inspect my car to see if Timonium was lying to me, which I have a feeling they did. People are rude, waiting area is small and they aren`t very honest or good with communicating. I`m sure if I had fixed the problem through them, everything would have been fine, but because I went to another shop, they were completely arrogant.

the best auto shop ever!

i started going to Timonium Auto around 2004. My other mechanic kept charging a diagonistic fee for something they could not find wrong. My Toyota Corolla now has 153,000 miles, and Timonium Auto keeps it running. Lou lets me know when something is wearing down and asks if I would like to repair it that day. There is no hard feelings if i decline that day. And even the busiest day, they still find time to change my o... view moreil if i just stop in. Very Reliable Service for 15 Years

My wife and I have trusted our cars to Lou and the folks at Timonium Auto Specialists for 15 years, and have rarely been disappointed. Estimates and repairs have been handled competently and in a timely manner. And their super-low prices on oil changes (about half the going rate) have saved us lots of money.

horrible!

Timonium Auto Specialists lied to me about my car! I took my car with a damaged area to them for quoting. On Sunday, I went and looked and saw my car sitting in the parking lot the same way I had brought it in 4 days before. On the next day (Monday) at 7 am, I called and called and they picked up at 8 and I told them to not touch my car and that I was going to just tow it away and pay them for storing it there and th... view moree quote. They said ""ok we will keep the car until you come tow it today in the afternoon."" So I go there in the afternoon and I see they have taken off the damaged piece and now it`s not moving. They wanted me to pay extra for having worked on it when I had said don`t! Liars!! I removed my car from their lot and am never going there again!

Honest and polite

I`ve been going to Timonium Auto for years and was recommended by a friend who has also been using their service for years. Their prices are comparable with other auto repair facilities. I`ve never been up-sold on any parts or services I didn`t need. On more than one occasion, they have squeezed me in when I had an emergency, e.g. parts falling off, broken window in winter.
