Went to Antwerpen Hyundai service department in Catonsville to check rattling noise coming from my brand new Hyundai Veloster. I called and made an appointment. When I arrived at the dealership, Ravae identified that she did not have my appointment in their system and this is just a start of a bad experience with their service department. Service employee that pulled my car into the shop did not know how to drive a... view more car with manual transmission, so he stalled it couple of times and then spun tires as he tried to pull off the service lane. After that I insisted riding with the shop mechanic (Nick) when he goes for on a road test. And of course, the car didnt make any noise during the road test. Nick asked me if I can leave the car for couple of hours so that he can revisit the case with Hyundai Platinum mechanic. Seven hours later and 20+ new miles on my odometer all they did was re-torque the suspension, which I believe has nothing to do with rattling noise. Which started again later that evening. I wasted a whole day dealing with these people an nothing was resolved in the end. They didnt even offer me a loner for the day. Needless to say I will speak with their manager, but I dont think that will fix rattling noise in my car. I also feel as if the mechanics were joy-driving my car, I mean who goes on a 20+ mile road test. I will not be returning my car there and will definitely take this up Hyundai corp.
