Had my car towed there a few y...

Had my car towed there a few years ago because it stopped running. Turned out to have water in the gas tank. Was told it would be a simple fix, drain the gas tank, then refill. I called them every afternoon to check to see if it was finished and each time they told me it would be done "tomorrow at the latest". After a week of that, I finally got the real story out of them- that they only had one "a... view morepproved" container to empty gasoline into, and it was being used long-term for something else. In the end, they had my car 9 days or so for a 1 day job, and I had to supply the "approved" containers so that they`d have something to empty the gasoline into. If I had used a different auto shop that either had an extra container or was willing to go out and get one, I would have been in and out in a day. People were reasonably polite about the whole thing, but the way that situation unfolded was unacceptable- both the fact that they kept my car so long even though it should have been a one day job, and the fact that they kept telling me the car would be ready the next day everyday for something like a full week. Many of us only have one car and need it back ASAP, and need accurate repair time estimates so we can attempt to make some sort of alternate arrangements to get by in the meantime if possible. Plus, why wouldn`t an auto shop have more than one thing to empty gas into? And if they only had one, why couldn`t they buy a second? On a side note: The gas price at their pumps is almost always the highest in the area- sometimes by 15-20 cents. I know gasoline isn`t their main business, but if they`re going to have a pump there, there could be more of an effort to be price competitive.
