After calling and being rejected because of the age of the car by five other body shops to repair extensive damage on my 1989 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe d`Elegance, I was fortunate to have John and his crew repair it. I use the car to carry my full size electric wheelchair, so I needed the car back in showroom condition. I had bought the car 4 years earlier from a collector. The car had only 2500 miles when i bought... view more it and was immaculate. John treated me like family. He and his staff bent over backwards pleasing me. The car came back to me in pristeen condition. A few small items needed adjustment and John did these immediately. I will forever be grateful to John for getting my car back on the road. I will always return to Southern Body works.

I`m really kind of taken back ...

I`m really kind of taken back by the above negative review. I`ve had nothing but excellent workmanship by John and his crew. I`ve had three cars of my own restored by Southern Body Works and all three have been magazine feature cars. Mopar Muscle Magazine, Mopar Action Magazine and Muscle Car Review Magazine. I`ve been in the collector car hobby for at least 35 years and find Southern Body Works to be one of the best... view more shops on the east coast. I know of at least 6 other car owners that have had nothing but positive outcomes, including a friend of mine that just had his 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird painted there. This car, when complete, is worth over $275,000. So, it seems to me the negative reviewer clearly does not understand what a repair is compaired to a restoration. And, adding the drama scenerio about what might happen is rediculous. If you are that concerned about your family, why would you put you young child in a 40 year old car with no air bags, out dated seat belts and no side impact protection like the newer cars of today have?

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I can`t say enough about this shop...Mr.Lanza meets all the standards of a great body shop..Had my 1969 Dodge Dart painted... Couldn`t ask for a better paint job...In the last 3 years he has paint and repaired 5 vehicles.. I travel 70 mile one way but it is worth it...You won`t be disappointed...
