Ocean Street Auto Repair

My eleven year old car needed an ignition switch. Knowing the car repair business, I crossed my fingers hoping I would be able to ""get"" the part (since you never know with an older car - especially one they no longer manufacture). Yes, they did charge a hefty markup on the part. However, the repair came in UNDER the Flat Rate Book time allowed - they were very pleasant - and worked with my schedule. Then the swit... view morech had a problem - they took me right in - fixed it while I waited, politely - and no additional charges. Running a large shop is difficult - lots of overhead. I feel they did a fine job and as a woman on her own - I appreciated the way I was treated.

good place to get ripped off!

told us they couldn`t bypass bad a/c compressor (found out later dodge makes and sells kit to do this. Made over 100% mark-up on retail pricing of parts in addition to charging $80/hr for labor. Stay away. Many honest repair shops in town.
