fast. honest reasonable.
Last night my son and his father left for North Anson Maine in sub zreo temperatures to pickup up a used pickup that will be my fiftenn year olds first truck. I tried to discourage my son beacuse of the freezing temperature and the 9 hour drive. They set out on a full tank of winter blend dieselcontaining extra antigel additive. They are driving, (accoring to myson)Big Daddy of Trucks a Chevy Duramax Diesel 2500 HD.T... view morehe truck ran great for the first 8 hours but as temperatures dropped to -26 you couldn`t get any speed out of it. Things were freezing up. Soon they were at a standstill only bareley to keep an idle and some heat .They called me at my work place to explain. I called My dealer he gave me a number for a maine dealer,I called they said ,""lady, it`s 20 below an we have a garage full of `em.""They decided to go to a near by recycling center to get a number for a nearby dealership. The man working suggested Skowhegan Chevy ,I called and they told me tocall Charlie and Son Towing get it towed in and maybe they could help. But they only had one diesel mechanic in. Called Charlie and Sons towing left a message . Within 5minutes Charles called back took down my info and set out to rescue my son.He said he had a couple of towes ahead of us but he was there within and hour and delivered him to a dealership which would better accomodate us due to the size of the business. He took them where there would be more mechanics available on a cold day like today. He knew they had a long day ahead of them, pickup the other truck for my son and 9 hours home.Charles made all the right choices , treated us the way he would liked to be treated if he were in our shoes. Being out of towners he could have raked us over the coals and we would have had no choice, but he didn`t. He pointed us in the right direction. The man I spoke to today, named Charles; is a saint, great businessman.I can not thank him enough. Our country would be better off with more businesses like his.ThanksMOM.
