It`s hard to find a garage you can trust, but Grimmel`s is one of them. Mr. Grimmel is a very respectable and honest mechanic. His bills are always very fair and he always tries to save the customer money. He makes absolutely sure a part needs to be replaced before he replaces it. Grimmel`s is an example of how business should be and I will always be a customer of Grimmel`s.

Grimmel`s Service Station is the best! Mr. Grimmel is always friendly and honest. He will never suggest replacement or repair of anything that doesn`t require it - unlike MANY of the other service stations in the area. Just recently we were told we needed $1,600.00 work of work on our 2005 Pathfinder by Sullivan Tire . . everything they suggested we needed just seemed ridiculous. They told us one tire was borderl... view moreine to pass inspection, but that we really should buy 4 new ones, otherwise the vehicle wouldn`t run correctly. HUH? Anyway, we took it to Mr. Grimmel -and $131.00 later the Pathfinder runs wonderfully!

Mr Grimmel and his techs provide a much needed service in Lewiston Auburn area. Relatively inexpensive no-frills auto service. If you`re on a budget or you want friendly local service and you don`t need to watch and sip a latte while they work, you should go see Mr Grimmel (I`ve always thought watching auto mechanics is a little like seeing sausage being made haha) They`ve been at it for a long time and do great ... view morework. They also have great deals on used tires and Interstate batteries ,though you might have to know a little about tires to get the right ones. I have been taking my vehicles (2004 PT Cruiser, 1999 Chevy Tahoe, 1991 Dodge Caravan) to Jim Grimmel for about 4 years and have never been unhappy with the service. Yesterday I noticed that my PT Cruiser inspection was overdue ..stopped in to talk about getting an appointment at about 11:30 am and he said that if I could leave it he would do the oil change that was overdue, rotate the tires and inspect it. I left it and walked home (beautiful day for a walk) , called him with my credit card info at 5 and had him lock the keys in so that I could pick it up at my leisure. Total bill was under $75 and included Mobil One (top quality synthetic) oil and Mobil One filter. I am still a very satisfied customer. Michael PS. Unlke some other chain service opearations, I trust that Grimmel`s is not going to tell me that I need to so anything that doesn`t really need to be done. YMMV Don`t expect a bunch of fancy record keeping or high tech gizmos -> just plain old fashioned friendly skilled auto service.
