I have told MANY friends about Metro Tire on Canal. My wife and I have been taking our cars here for over 15 years... perhaps 20. Frankly, I can`t imagine a better place or a nicer person to work with than EJ, their manager. In this time we have taken quite a few leased vehicles from Ford that we turned in every 2 years, and lately we have taken cars that we have driven 125,000 to 200,000 miles. We now take in 3 ... view morecars in rotation about every month or 2 for oil changes, tire purchases and rotations, batteries, and bigger repairs needed on older cars... so over the years we have likely been here 200+ times, perhaps more. We`ve also taken our mom`s car here when someone else has given a senior citizen the run-around. In every situation, this shop has been honest, reliable, efficient, and reasonable. There are times when EJ has told us that they could do the work... and did it well. There have been other times he has told us that we`re better off taking it to the dealership... and even to other shops. This shop has even gone over a dealer supplied list of needed work to help me to prioritize what was important first, whta could wait 3 to 12 months, and how to get the best bang for our buck. (Like telling us to have the dealership replace the water pump the same time they did the timing belt as this would save us a LOT in labor cost later.) Talk about integrity! Have mistakes EVER been made? Sure! Nothing major (misplaced oil cap, forgot to repair tire leak), but each time the shop has made it right EXACTLY as we expected/hoped. Frankly, I think seeing how they handle a mistake they make is the best sign of an honest business. I have been in the shop once or twice and recognized that some customers expect FAR too much... so one should likely take those type of people and their reviews with a grain of salt. When I read the first review here about Metro Tire I wondered if this was the problem with the shop or of a person with unfair/unreasonable expectations? Likely the later if I was betting! This enticed me to tell of our positive experiences with EJ, Don, and the fine people at Metro Tire..

Damaged Truck

This shop was a nightmare took my truck in for a leaking brake line they fixed that but dent rear quarter panel broke tail light and twisted and bent bumper then said someone from the gas station did it, but was very apparent it happened in there shop. They said they would pay for repairs but refused too after getting quotes from bump shops now its off to small claims court. I would not recommed this company.
