Great service
I have been a customer for NRG for a while now and have had good success with them. They are very reasonable and their customer service is fantastic.

A+ SERVICE
My family and I were in Detroit Lakes for the weekend when we had a water pump go out of our pick. The tow truck driver recommended NRG for the repairs. Being from out of town we trusted him. He was sure they would help us out. The repairs were done promptly and professonally. The charge was less than I expected quite honestly. We were on our way in no time. I am very grateful to NRG and the tow driver for the recom... view moremendation.

A+ Service
I have been bringing my vehicle to NRG auto repair since it first opened. I have never had any problems with the quality of work received. The owner and staff have gone above and beyond to make customer satisfaction a number one priority. They will work with each customer individually to insure the proper fix to ones vehicle.

Employee screw ups!
Forgot to tighten nuts on A-Frame for caster camber adjustment. This caused a shifting of the A-Frame resulting in a clunking noise. As a result, I several parts replaced in the front drive system as the alignment was ruled out as it was just done (ball joints, front axle shaft, wheel bearing, bushings and bolts on sway arm). The loose bolts were found while changing the front wheel bearing. The A-Frame moved easil... view morey when torque was applied to the axle nut. I brought this vehicle back to NRG and was charged for the alignment to be redone. When asked, the shop owner would not stand behind the first alignment because of the time that had elapsed. This vehicle was undrivable due to the shifting, time and expense to replace the drive parts. Considering the fact that to recheck the alignment requires no parts, just a bit of labor, the shop would have had a happy customer. This comes after the same vehicle had engine work done, shop replaced cracked intake manifold. This repair also was brought back because of loose bolts which the shop stood behind by tightening the bolts. This part requires that a torque wrench be used and it was witnessed by the customer that it was not. I was almost stranded when the engine overheated within a day or two by this mistake. It is now suspected that a rough idle may be caused by this as the seal was not replaced and may have been damaged. I replaced spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, Oxygen sensor, air filter and fuel filter in attempts to solve the rough idle condition. I am certain that there is a torque specification on both of these repairs and if a torque wrench was used these problems would have been avoided. To add insult to injury the receptionist told the owner that they had to write off $50,000 in repair bills and that there are ""other repair shops in the area"". Maybe an investment in a torque wrench and customer service training would help the shops write off problem.
