Excellent Service Sincere People
I was in the middle of a road trip from Pittsburgh to Portland when the front wheel bearings puked on my 2002 VW Golf. I was able to call and make an appointment for the same day. They charged me exactly when they said they would over the phone - which was a great rate. I compared it to the mechanic I normally use in PA and the rate was spot on. 10k miles later it is still humming along. They even checked some other ... view morelights they were on the dash for me and gave me their best opinion. The best part was that they treated me as though I had been coming there for years when in reality I met them one time and will likely never have a reason to go back.
I was going to give them fours stars as I would have liked the repair to cost less (hey I`m cheap) but they went beyond what I asked them to do and they did not charge me for it. Thus, five stars.
I was really glad that I found them and I recommend them to you.

Convenient, Fast & Friendly!
I had to get my cylinder head replaced on my 2002 2.0 Jetta about two weeks ago. Knowing this was a bigger job than I was capable of doing, I brought it to the VW Man, explained my problem, and they were happy to work the issue out. I didn`t know how much it would run me, but I knew for a fact that anything would be cheaper than Westside Volkswagen?what a bunch of hags.
I dropped my car off on a Wednesday and got ... view moreit back the following Monday! I honestly couldn`t believe the speed at which the job was done. They even let me know that it would be a while since they were extremely busy that week. I told them I understand, and honestly wasn`t expecting a call until late the following week.
The price was completely fair, I mean it`s a cylinder head, so it certainly wasn`t cheap, but not blown-out to be something unreasonable. The service was honest and genuine. They told me exactly what was being done and why. I couldn`t be any happier with the result and would recommend this great group of guys to anyone!

Poor service, Dishonest charges, terrible customer service
The worst car repair experience ever! Charges were much higher than estimates, I had to bring back the car 2 times for the same problem, since they did not fix it right the first time, and they were not happy about it, instead of apologizing to customer! Additional charges were added everytime I brought the car back.
They attract you with reasonable estimates over the phone, then the cost escalates from there. T... view morehe hassle I went thru is not worth any potential saving, and I really don`t trust that they diagnosed the right issue (engine light on). In addition, the car was never ready when they promised, something I also heard from a coworker.
Would not recommend! Find someone else!

Dishonest and Greedy
After going to VW Man due to cheaper qoutes than Good Karma, I went to have my brakes changed and oil pan replaced. After getting there, the qoute had already changed from when I originally got it. I had to go back after the brake change because they did not put the engine guard on properly. After I had to go back to get that taken cared of there was a constant rattling and rubbing and rocking when making hard/sharp ... view moreturns. I bring it back again to get that fixed and because the check engine light came on. They said the rattling was just the engine guard and not a big deal then they bent the engine guard so that it would not rub against the tires, causing me to have to get a new one. They went straight to figuring out how they could make money, the check engine light. They qouted me a special order price for the new engine guard and said that the check engine light was due to mis firing. He said that they would PROBABLY need to change the spark plugs or the wires. I then proceed to tell them that they were changed about a year ago and the response was, ""Oh must need a new coil then."" So after they threw in 70 dollar diagnostic test in at the last minute which could have been done for free at AutoZone, I am looking at a 600 dollar tab that I do not even know for sure if that was what was wrong since they did not provide the results from the diagnostic test or offer the coil back. Then my girlfriend and I found the problem, that is right, there 85 dollars an hour charge for labor does not pay for their expertise, just for them to make more money because they only guess what the problems are and not actually take time to look at your vehicle. So the third time we go back and have to tell them where the problem is and the guys do not care enough about the business to want to help with any form of compensation. Not what I call good business. I recommend Good Karma if you want the job done right.

Honest Mechanics (just like in the olden days, pre-Luther VW)
These guys were GREAT! I had dropped a quarter behind the steering wheel cover where the airbag is located and could not get it out. The airbag had to be removed to get at the quarter. Now I am no mechanic, but it seemed like an easy job to do. Now I was not going to risk it myself since I am not an expert which is what the owners manual called for. Originally I had taken my car by Luther VW because I called and... view more they told me they could get it in and have it done in 30 minutes, charge me $45, and I was out of there. So the next morning I was there when they opened to have this done. The service writer was already grumpy and not happy to be there. THEY HAD JUST OPENED! He told me that it would only take 30 min. to do but I would have to leave my car there all day. Disappointed by this answer, I left. I then later that day took it to the VW Man (who I located by searching on the internet). When I went in, one of the mechanics asked me what was the problem, and I told him my airbag story. He grabbed a socket and socket wrench and said let`s go look at it. We went outside and looked and he realized that it was a little more complicated than he had originally thought so he said he would take it inside. He pulled the car in and I went in to wait. I waited 10 minutes and he came in with my quarter in his hand and said it was all done. We talked for a minute and I said how much do I owe you. He and the owner looked at each other and the owner said, do you have a $10 bill for him. I used a check card, but offered $20 but they would only take the $10. They saved me $35 and did it in and honest way. They could have billed me $45 because that is the going rate for a half hour of service work but they didn`t. This is why I highly recommend you take your VW or any German made car. I know I will from this point forward. They did honest work at a more that honest price. Not a lot of service like that out there anymore.
