Once we got home I pulled up the Better Business Bureau and reviewed their complaints ?ˆ“ 27?ˆ¦. ALARMING. The BBB doesn?ˆ™t say exactly what or who had the issues but it tracked a total of 27 complaints. We then did a Carfax on the vehicle and found at the last servicing of this vehicle it had over 220k miles back in 8/10?ˆ¦?ˆ¦.ALARMING and deceitful of Quality Auto to misstate the mileage. I know they would NEVER purchase a vehicle for resale without doing their homework to determine the value they could get for car in return. So the deceit was evident. I additionally did a search for reviews of Quality Auto on the internet. I found posts by a woman who had complaint that she purchased a car and had problems from day 1 and Quality Auto never provided any resolution. I found a few more complaints from the same woman who explained that the brothers who manage Quality Auto had a load of excuses for her. I also found a response from someone at Quality Auto stating if the person was complaining why did they not state their name?ˆ¦?ˆ¦to me, this was a boatload of evidence that we should NEVER purchase a car from these people. They have a bad record, they were dishonest and I saw this first hand with the deceitfulness of the misstated mileage. My boyfriend is an awesome mechanic and autobody technician so regardless of the issue I know he could fix it, unlike the woman who?ˆ™s complaint I had read about having a non working vehicle that was sapping all her resources. We called Terry and confirmed that we would purchase the car on Monday and finalize our deal.
December 12 ?ˆ“ My boyfriend took work off early and we went back to Quality Auto to seal our deal, however Terry was not there. We were told he was at home ill by others in the office. Additionally they stated we could not take the truck because it was not ready. They stated they were fixing the ignition and key and that we would have a new key for the car when we returned. We went home to return the next day.
December 13 ?ˆ“ My boyfriend took work off early again, he and I went back to Quality Auto to again seal the deal on this car. When we arrived Terry again was not there and another guy in the office (big guy wearing a hat) said that they could no longer support our deal and would need more money down to hold the vehicle. I agree the terms were a risk for Quality Auto, but Terry did agree, but now they were changing the terms. With the evidence I found online, with the BBB and with our own minimal exposure to the deceit of Quality Auto I ask for our money back. Deal Off. As a consumer I have a choice on with whom I do business and who I give my money to and the business practices of Quality Auto definitely did not deserve our hard earned money. I took my check (we gave cash, they gave us a check back) and cashed it.
During my search for a used Jeep Grand Cherokee, I found a listing from this dealer online. I called them several times & was informed that they still had the Jeep on their lot & they were ready to have me test-drive it/etc.
After a few calls just to reaffirm that they still had the vehicle, I told them I would show up in an ho... view moreur to test-drive the Jeep, in which they told me that would work great & everything was good to go. So I made the 45 minute drive to their dealership only to find out that they didn`t even have the Jeep on their lot; I spoke to 3 different reps and each had their own story aka excuses as to why the Jeep wasn`t there. The only thing they could really say was that ""they get a lot of Jeeps in & they`d let me know if they had 1 for me"".... needless to say that didn`t help me much & I am surely NEVER going to deal with them again.
(caps time) THEREFORE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS AUTO-DEALER; THEIR LOT IS IN SHAMBLES, THE INSIDE OF THEIR DEALERSHIP IS CROWDED, UNORGANIZED, AND CRUMMY LOOKING... AND THEIR SALES REPS CLEARLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE REALLY IS.
