Buyer beware
I`m not sure if these people are genuine or rip-off artists. I was told I need a whole new set of ball joints and that it would cost $800. Something didn`t sit well with me so I took my vehicle to another well respected tire shop. There they had three different mechanics take a look. They all agreed that my vehicle was fine and perfectly safe. They explained to me that even new vehicles have a little ""play"" in ... view morethe joints and bearings. The second tire shop said completely the opposite of what Paul Williams said. Besides that, had I needed to get new ball joints it would have cost around $500, and that I wouldn`t need to replace the whole control arm assembly. Now I know how important it is to get different mechanics prices and opinions before getting expensive work done. I`m not sure if I trust Paul Williams, I think they do good work but I feel they might have been pulling an expensive fast one on me. Because of this experience I would not take my car back there. If I was in dire need of new ball joints don`t you think the three other mechanics would have agreed? Paul Williams really had their story down as to why it would cost so much, and that I should get this work done soon. Just be careful.

Great, trustworthy service
I was having some problems with my electrical business, and went in to get the battery tested. Figuring there was something wrong with the battery or alternator, I was hoping to get a solid answer so I could make a valiant attempt at fixing it myself. They first told me I would have to pay a $12 to have the battery terminals cleaned so that they could test it, which kind of upset me (I was hoping to avoid having to... view more pay anything at this point), but figured it`s minor compared to what I was facing. Turns out everything checked out okay, even though they could`ve told easily taken me for much more.
It`s nice to find a shop that I feel I can trust, and I will be going back for any other repairs in the future.

Had trouble with a wiring issue
Went there recently for what I thought was a burned out bulb-- while trying to fix that, they blew out a small box that was part of the wiring system for the back lights. I took my car to another place that knew how to bypass that box. They still charged me for an hour`s labor.
May be fine for some things, but I would be wary on electrical issues in particular.

BEST PLACE TO GO FOR REPAIRS , HANDS DOWN !
I have been here for an alternator,an oil change and scheduled 7 yr maintenance. These guys know their stuff, are honest , thorough and have great customer service. The prices arent to bad either. They didnt try to get me to spend extra money! Linda called me a couple times to let me know what was going on and what I wanted. They also let you use a loaner car.
Im going here from now on for everything!!

Superb!
I was referred to Paul Williams Tire by Uptown Imports after they came to the conclusion that my rims needed to be resealed and rebead (sp?). My front driver`s side tire had a slow leak and the gentlemen I spoke to at Uptown Imports (forgot his name) stated that my tires were so new that I shouldn`t have to buy new ones already.
I took my car over to Paul Williams and they were very friendly. They took one loo... view morek at my rims and told me that those specific rims generally don`t need to be resealed/rebead. On closer investigation they found a small leak where someone already patched the tire (and never told me of this, of course.) They re-patched the tire and I was on my way.
The whole experience didn`t take more than 30 minutes. The whole time the entire staff was chill, they weren`t condescending and didn`t try to rip me off. They were knowledgeable, a mechanic even complemented my suspension (*FINALLY* a mechanic in the Twin Cities that knows what the frick a coilover kit is...)
I`m giving these guys a 9, because I honestly don`t know what would be worthy of a perfect 10. Although, I don`t have any complaints and I recommended anyone to check these guys out. They`ll get my business in the future.
