Don`t Get Ripped Off

I took my car to dune buggy supply for a simple tune up. I was quoted a price of 200-300 dollars. I dropped my car off and told Bill to call me if it was going to be over $300.00. He called me the next day and said that the tune up was done and it was 420.00. I never received a call and now I was charged 120.00 extra. I picked up my car and paid the 420.00 I did make it 10 miles before the car started to buck and jer... view morek going down the highway. I couldn`t accelerate over 50 miles an hour. Save your self and find someone else!

Avoid at all costs

I had the highest hopes for Dune Buggy Supply when I brought in my Porsche 914 for simple repairs in 2006. Over the next two years, my car spent more time there than in my garage. I never had a single repair that did not require additional work at a higher cost. I should have seen the light when, after Dune Buggy Supply rebuilt the engine of my car, I didn`t make it half way home before the car died and needed ... view moreto be towed back.

The rebuilt engine ran for 1,500 miles before acquiring a massive oil leak. Upon returning it to Dune Buggy Supply, I was told the pistons were bad. Why that was not said to me when the engine was rebuilt the first time is beyond me. So, I paid for another rebuild and new pistons Once again, I didn`t make it half way home before the car died and they needed to rebuild the engine again. I`m not kidding. It took another tear down and rebuild to get it drivable again.

I should also mention that each repair takes MONTHS. Seriously. Months.

Now, 3 months after the THIRD engine rebuild, the car is leaking oil again. I am not returning to Dune Buggy Supply. I`d rather pay someone else to do the job right.

It is in your best interest to go elsewhere. Even if the hourly labor rate is higher, you will pay less in the end. You truly get what you pay for.
