Another dealer ready to rip you Off!
I took my Excursion in with 4 issues. Was told that there would be a $129.00 per hour diagnostic charge, no problem, I said. They called later with the estimate in the $5200 range ($4200 was for injectors). Since I would get another opinion if I received a $5200 est for my teeth, I told her I would pick it up. The bill was approx $320. What they failed to tell me was the clock started anew with each issue checked. In... view more other words, if the 1st item took 5 min to diagnose, I was charged for a min 1/2 hour (which I was never told) Ditto for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I took the truck to another Ford dealership and they indicated all 4 items should have taken the Tech 1-1.5 hours to diagnose. They fixed all the problems for $1500. The injectors ($4200) were mis-diagnost. I went back to Midway to get the $170 I was charged for the wrong diagnosis. Everyone at these car dealerships treat the customer with kid gloves and TLC so you don`t ever question if their stealing you blind. Be where, people!

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!!
I wish I could give this `business` (and I use that term loosely), zero stars, but one star is the lowest score available.
Notice that the last two, most frequent reviewers gave Midway Ford one star. The other reviews are over 5 years old. BEWARE of this place. I brought my vehicle in because my windshield wipers weren`t moving as fast as they should have been and I was concerned, because it was still win... view moreter time, and with spring comes rain, and lets face it, one MUST have windshield wipers. A driver is a danger to themselves and others on the road should they fail to work. I was told by Graham Rose that the windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced. That was done and it didn`t fix the issue. They then went on to tell me that I HAD to pay $127.95 for a diagnostic. Once that was done they spent more time replacing some wire that I didn`t get to see and truly did not understand. After waiting 4 1/2 hours the bill was close to $1000. I put this on a credit card with the intention of disputing the charge, becasue I was told that I needed to sign a piece of paper (that I did not get a copy of) to verify my keys were returned. Can you believe this???? I called the credit card company and they couldn`t dispute this charge because I had signed for my keys. I was told that in these types of instances, NEVER sign anything and if they won`t return your keys, call the police. I called Jim Murphy the service manager and got no where with him. I also mentioned that there was a recall on the windshield wiper motors for my make and year of vehicle and Jim informed me that whatever I found on the internet wasn`t legitimate. A couple of weeks later, during our last bad snowstorm, the wipers quit working. I was on a road without shoulders and couldn`t pull over. I was TERRIFIED! they finally starting working again and I made it home safely. I called Jim and guess what, he was willing to tighten some nuts for free! Lucky me. Once again, a diagnosis without knowing the issue and then me being expected to pay for their incorrect diagnosis. I have contacted The Bulldog at St Paul Pioneer Press. They are looking into this issue, because they are doing an expose on several places in the Twin Cities where people have been ripped off at Auto Service Centers. Find anyplace else to go. I have and am still hoping the Midway Ford will do the right thing and reimburse me for their lack of service, ethics, and professionalism. SHAME ON YOU MIDWAY FORD!

Ripped us off of over $1000 and problem still there!!
We had a problem with a slight vibration when turning left on our `98 Ford Windstar begining last January. New to town, we thought it`d be a good idea to go straight to the dealer for fear of being ripped off! HA! They advised we replace both front tires and have the wheels aligned. We went ahead with the first installment of $300+ dollars for that. Three days later the front left tire began to HOWL and grind. ... view moreWe brought it in very upset to which they said there was no way they could have known the front knuckle joint (what that is to this day I still do not know) needed to be replaced and it was a coincidence that it happened three days after being in the shop. So another $400 goes in. Two months later the grinding on the front left returned. We brought it in to which they said there was NO WAY they could have known it would need new bearings on that side. Beside ourselves, after much arguing back and forth, we gave up and let them do the work as we desperately needed the van for work. This time, they promised to have it done and ready by Thursday evening as it was needed for work Saturday morning. We received no phone call Thursday. When we called Friday morning no one had even started the work on the van and they said they ""forgot"" our agreed upon deadlines. After practically crying on the phone the rude and cruel manager finally agreed to give us a courtesy rental for the weekend IF we could get there BEFORE 6pm. So I had to take work off, and rush over there against the clock, practically having a heart attack. It was no surprise when I showed up at 5:45 and the rental people had no idea what I was talking about. We did indeed get the rental and the van was ready by TUESDAY. That was in March, and at this point we have spent over $1000 to fix the front left grinding noise. Well guess what, it`s back this past week. I called and spoke with Mike Donbrowski who said ""we`ll have to take a look at it and see"", to which I said ""you already have three times for the same problem"". He went on to say that it is not documented as the same problem and upon further inspection the invoice ffrom March says RIGHT sided grinding. I argued this morning with Mike, for him to only offer to ""take a look at it"". I said if he didn`t help me to resolve the problem I was going to take him to court, to which he replied ""our paperwork states different problems with each visit"". This situation couldn`t be worse, it`s as if they are SLICK at ripping decent people off. We have very little money for such things and use our vehicle for our work. Something like this could result in us losing our home. Mike Donbrowski, Travis, and the sham of an outfit at Midway Ford should lose there permits and liscenses and be prosecuted for there illegal business practices.

Avoid at all cost: This shop management is cheaters and they utilize the opprtunity to rip you off. One of the power windows was out of order and they asked me $114 for diagnose and additional $480 to repair it. The manager told me that a window motor is $150 and it is very hard to install that`s why they are asking $330 for labor. I refused to get a service from them and went to advanced auto part. I got a remanufac... view moretured windows motor for $35. (brand new one is available for less than $50) And I replaced the motor without a problem. Total cost: $35 and they asked me $594!!
