Reviews:

This is a terrible place to get your vehicle worked on. Terrible management. The managers name is cliff and he has no idea what CUSTOMER SERVICE is. My son recently had his brakes done here and on his way home form the savage goodyear his vehicle failed to stop when he applied the brakes and smashed into another vehicle. We went right back and he tried to blame it on my son. After talking to the owner (supposedl... view morey) they decided to not o anything to rectify situation. If you want to put you or one of your love ones life in danger, this is the place to go. I just want to let everyone out there to know what a bad place this is to go for any repairs.

Dishonest Car Repair
We have been dealing with Savage Good Year for car repairs for several years and it seems that whenever we have had any brake issues they would always tell us we needed to have the rotors replaced due to being warped. This is a standard statement when any of our three vehicles have been brought in for brake repair.

The vehicle that I drive seems to be going through more brakes (pads & rotors) then most cars e... view morever do. At least once a year we have been replacing the brakes (pads and rotors), so asked if we supplied the rotors if Good Year would install on the car. Good Year`s answer was yes. We purchased the best rotors that we could buy for the car and brought them in last week. We asked that they install ceramic brake pads and the new rotors. When the car was picked up we were told that it would take a few days for the brakes to seed. But when driving home (nothing over 30mph) it was already pulsating when the brake was applied. The next morning going to work I noticed that when going over 50 and then braking the steering wheel would actually shimmy while slowing down. This went on for a week with no change. Exactly one week from the when Good Year replaced the rotor and the pads we brought the car back. In describing the issue we were told it sounds like warped rotors! Really you just put them on a week ago?

We got a phone call not more than 30 min after we had dropped the car off that yes indeed the rotors were warped. How is that possible when we just put them on and the car was doing this the morning after you installed them? Well they were probably bad rotors and bought warped is what we were told. So BOTH rotors that we purchased were warped? And of course Good Year did not warranty these because we did not purchase from Good Year! The only way to fix the problem is to install new ROTORS or resurface the old ones! And it will cost more money!

What I think happened is the old rotors were left on the car and only new brake pads put on! And then either resold to another customer or taken by one of the employees! These rotors were not warped when brought into Good Year!

We are done bringing vehicles there I wish anyone luck doing business with these people! I would HIGHLY recommend going ANYPLACE other than Good Year.

Horrible Worst Service - Rude, Hostile & Incompetent
I worked for the auto industry for years as a copywriter --I was the anonymous voice behind much of the merchandising and collateral materials produced for AMC/JEEP/RENAULT/CHRYSLER/PLYMOUTH back in the 1980`s and helped them to establish one of the largest and most successful dealer/service associations in the world. I know good service and I know competence. But this place was just about one of the worst I`ve ever ... view moreexperienced. I went in for a simple oil change -- even made an appointment -- it took them over an hour! In the process they dented the hood of my car. When I told them about the dent they lied and denied it -- the manager Cliff was rude and condescending. I called the owner -- Don Gaudette -- who was the same way -- telling me everything I said about Cliff was a lie. He called me a lyer! I had to spend a week running around just to get my car back to its original state. After calling about 40-50 times I finally got them to agree to pay for the repairs. They accepted this but in same breath said they did not accept responsibility. Now how is that possible? Isn`t that completely contradictory? No apology. No offer of good will or reconciliation. No compensation for my time or troubles or gas or other inconveniences. Further, my wife told me later that this guy Cliff -- I didn`t know about this when I went in for the oil change or I would not have gone but she also went there for an oil change last year -- and he was verbally rude to her and apparently even physically ""moved"" her out of the way at one point in the lobby in front of customers because he didn`t like where she was standing. They also quoted her for $2500 in additional work that didn`t need to be done. It was a bogus quote for a new air conditioning unit for what ended up being a squeaky belt. These people are bad bad news! They give auto mechanic service a real bad reputation -- buyer beware! Stay away. The same owners have a Goodyear in Shakopee, Burnsville and Bloomington as well. Stay out of those places.

Very Inaccurate with their work, doesn`t own up to mistakes & argumentative terrible manager
I have been in the car biz 13 yrs, I`ve seen the best and the worst of service and sales. This is one of the worst. I wouldn`t of written this if I would of been handled correctly by the store manager, Cliff. He must of missed the Customer Service Training! Instead of apologizing for fixing the wrong tire twice, he made me feel like I did something wrong...well I guess I did, I went there for my service. I came in ... view morewith a flat tire on my driver `s side rear, they fixed the passenger side rear ( they couldn`t find a leak so they so they replaced the valve stem) and then they informed me my custom wheel hub was loose on the right (thought they made an observation, didn`t know at that point they had done work on that hub) . In fact, I didn`t know that they screwed up until I went back in to get a 50.00 oil change and asked them to recheck my driver`s side tire, the one I thought they fixed because I had to keep filling it with air. It was then that I was told that they had fixed the passenger tire. Well that explains why I was still having problems. It was never fixed! Not only that but they were the ones that ruined my center hub by tightening the screw way to tight! On top of that I went to pick up my car and the oil change was 80.00! They said they always put Mobil 1 in Cadillacs...my car has never had Mobil 1 and I had asked for the 50.00 Kendall synthetic oil. I tried to deal with Cliff on these matters, as they fixed the wrong tire TWICE before getting it right on the third time and not being truthful on the damage to my wheel and doing the wrong oil change. He talked in circles and made me feel as if I had done something wrong by even bringing it to his attention. I feel like because I am a woman he thought he could talk to me any way he wanted and try to run me in circles. No apology and he made me feel really really frustrated and nobody should have to feel that way! Please stay clear of this place. He really put a damper on my afternoon.
