Dangerous!!!
I brought my Jeep into Tire Kingdom on 4/25/2011 to have the brake fluid changed and brakes checked on my vehicle. On 7/19/2011, my front brake caliper stuck and caught on fire because the wrong brake fluid was placed in my system. It clearly specifies to only use Dot 3 on the Master Brake Cylinder. Tire Kingdom placed Dot 5 in my system which coagulated in the caliper causing the brake to stick and starting a fir... view moree in the brake system. When I contacted Tire Kingdom and spoke to Brian Smicth, the store manager. Brian told me Tire Kingdom was not responsible because the vehicle was old and Tire Kingdom did not carry Dot 5. I informed Brian I had the original invoices with credit card recites stating the fluid had been changed by their shop and the brakes were in great condition, as stated by their own mechanic only three months prior. The mechanic who had done the repairs from the brake fire informed me that Dot 5 is blue in color and what was in my system. The correct brake fluid would have been Dot 3 and clear in color. Brian continued to state that Tire Kingdom would not reimburse me for the cost of repairs, or even the cost for the original service for putting in the wrong brake fluid. I then spoke to the District Manager from Tire Kingdom, Bob Cassidy, he was in agreement with Brian Smicth that Tire Kingdom was not responsible. I have all the documentation and the testimony of a reputable mechanic stating the wrong brake fluid caused the damage and the possibility of the dangerous situation I was placed in because it involved the brakes on my vehicle. I had spent over $4,000 to Tire Kingdom over the last three months between lift kits, tune-ups, and up grades on my Jeep. I am shocked that Tire Kingdom will not take any responsibility for any of the damage they caused to my brake system. I went to that particular shop in Covington based on my friend`s recommendation, she was getting a new engine put in her Jeep. Between both of us, we have put a lot of money into this shop. I think it is important to add that the manager belittled me during the conversation and also did it to the mechanic and front office staff at Gene`s Automotive where the correct repairs were done. I have filed a complaint with AAA and the Better Business Bureau as for a resolve. Tire Kingdom obviously does not stand behind their work, customer service is horrible, and they placed me in an extremely dangerous situation.

careless
I went in once to get an alignment and they said i needed to have my struts and strut mounts replaced before they could do my alignment. they wanted to charge me 1200 bucks for it. I went elsewhere for the struts and strut mounts (spent 500 bucks). I returned for the alignment and they said it wasn`t possible after I waited an hour and half.
