PURCHASE A GOOD ENGINE AT A LOW PRICE

I just bought a low milage engine (1,000 mi.) at RICK`S AUTO SALVAGE for just $864 including tax. I shopped around at all the salvage yards in a 60 mile radius of Houma and got the best deal at Rick`s. He was compeditivly priced on the lower end for his engine and did not require my old engine for a core, while most salvage yards did; some even wanted to strip additional parts other than the starter, altenator and... view more compressor. On average you`ll pay $1,000 without tax for an engine with 75,000 mi. and have to give your old engine for a core or pay more. He informed me over the phone of the engine he had and invited me down to view the engine while it was still in the car and his helpful crew was happy to start the engine so I could see it run. The engine ran great and I was able to see the car with it`s original milage before committing to the purchase. After seeing this engine, hearing it run and seeing the car it came out of, I decided to purchase it. He promply had his helpful crew remove the engine while he personally supervised the removal. His yeas of experience in the business allows him to freely offer up advice to see you though your project. I recommend you check with RICK`S AUTO SALVAGE before your next project and purchase of used automotive parts. I saved money, got good advice and have an over all good experience dealing with Rick.
