Avoid at all costs!!!!
I brought my bike in on 09-12-09 for repairs from an accident. When I dropped it off, there was about $2000 worth of damage. There were no notes taken on the repairs needed, so there`s no way of knowing all of what was wrong. It`s now 2 months later.
The tech who was working on the bike scratched the rear fender himself while installing it. He called me to tell me which I appreciated. Instead of eating the co... view morest of a new fender, which on my bike is $1200 painted, he told me he would send it to a paint guy to touch it up. When my bike was ""ready"", I found that the touch up job on the fender looked horrible. It was scratched in other places, the signal light which he broke and was told he would replace was not replaced, tail light about to fall off, shift peg almost fell off when I was on my way home and it was still crooked, seat was unbolted and scratched my fender even more, throttle cable sticking, clutch cable was lose, and the list goes on. All these issues had direct link to the repairs done. This took about a month.
When I called to complain and list all the issues with it, I was shocked to find out the tech who worked on my bike was the owner of the company. THIS WAS THE OWNER`S WORK! The owner of the company himself did this kind of job on my bike. I brought the bike back the following day. I had to put a stop payment on the check for the repair which cost me an extra $35.
I then found out the HE`s the one that tried to touch up my fender. So he lied to me about getting a painter to touch it up. There were other parts that were damaged that did not get replaced. He tried to just bend the shift peg straight, but it didn`t work. He then tells me that it`s beyond repair and it has to be replaced. I was not satisfied with the fender at all and instead of getting me a new fender, he orders the flame decals and sends the bike to ""the best painter in Lafayette."" I waited another week for the decals and another 2 weeks for the painter. Now, because the bike sat up, not running for 2 months, my battery is dead. I have to buy a new battery. I spent these 2 months without my main mode of transportation because of his screwups. I`ve told him numerous times, as well as on the statement for insurance, that this is the vehicle I use DAILY.
Not only will I never go to Southside Honda again for service, but I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TAKE YOUR RIDE SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR REPAIRS. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!! I won`t even buy my oil and oil filter from here. I will gladly drive the extra 20 miles just for that. The sad thing is that their parts and sales department is awesome, but a situation like this can ruin it for the whole company. It`s not like I can complain to the owner to have something done, because IT WAS THE OWNER WHO DID THIS. If you can avoid this place, do so for service. They have completly lost my trust, service, and business.

service needs work
southside honda, in my opinion, has a bad parts and service department... They NEVER call when ur parts come in,or when they are done servicing ur bike. I will never bring my bike there again or do buisness with them..
