When I called for estimate and service the person at first was nice and helpful with offering free estimate. When asked for estimated cost of service he would not tell me, when I asked again, he hung up on me. I called back, he got rude. I am a working mother with 3 children that`s on a budget. Estimated cost is a necessary when you are on a budget. Rudeness especially dealing with customer service is a Must!! disappointing and rude service

After purchasing 4 Michelin tires from Jimmy Duckworth within the last year, I returned last week to have him check out an odd noise and shimmy I was feeling, possibly from one of the back tires. He asked that I leave it so that he could test drive it and determine if it was a tire problem or mechanical. After leaving it with him overnight, he told me he refused to look at it or test drive it because he could tell s... view moreomeone else had worked on it recently. A speed sensor was replaced a month before, but was not at all related to the new problem. With a very sarcastic tone, he told me that i needed to find one person to work on my car. I had never heard of such a thing. I find it hard to believe that all of the cars in his shop have only been worked on by him. I will never return or recommend this shop to anyone.

AWFUL SERVICE - Sexist Pigs

We dropped off my daughters car to get a leaking tire fixed, from the beginning the tall man with glasses was rude and stated, ""you`re gonna leave it here longer than you`d like"" I called the man back an hour or so later, because I was not going to be back in Old Metairie until after closing time (5pm) and wanted him to leave the keys locked in the car. Another hour later, (around 4) we figured out my son co... view moreuld pick up the car, so he called to confirm when the car would be finished, the man said to my son, ""We haven`t even started on your car and I`ve already told your mom twice that it won`t be finished until closing time."" I proceeded to call the man back, and tell him to forget it, and my son would bring it to GoodYear instead. The man then hung up on me THREE TIMES and said that he wouldn`t speak to me, ""only your husband."" Then, as my Husband and I left to go get the car, my son who was at the shop, called and said he had to pay the man to put the tire back on (they had obviously gone to work on it quickly so we would have to pay them) so we could take it elsewhere. This is a scummy, low life place who treated me zero respect and acted as if I were not worth his time, especially since I was a lady. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. So much for New Orleanians going local.

Don`t judge by the few!

This is an excellent service company! My business has done business with them with our fleet for years! I use them for my personal vehicles. The owner (Jimmy) just dosn`t HAVE to put up with arrogant people! It`s funny how rude people act when people are rude back to them! Think about it!

terrible service

I really wanted to shop local and after calling Duckworth`s on metairie road, I am going to sell out and go to Firestone. The person who answered the phone treated me like I was wasting his time, and was unwilling to look up my car make in order to determine which tires to recommend. The last time I went to him for advice, he charged me $20 and would not accept a credit card. I agreed to send him a check in the mai... view morel. The next day, he called my place of work and got my boss on the phone to ask me to bring in the $20 payment!! So much for shopping locally!

I`ve done business with Jimmy Duckworth for over 35 years. I have no complaints. The Duckworths have always offered excelent products and professional, dependable service.

Good Service, Grouchy Owner

These guys do good work and have fair prices. Period. I`ve used them for years. I think the truth lies in between the two reviewer before me. First, I don`t think you can get a accurate review from a family member of the business... The main guy over there is a total grouch and lacks personal sklills - the thinigs we`ve come to expect in 2007. What a place!!!!

This is by far the most amazing friendly family owned business that I have ever been to!! I love the Duckwoth family, and my Grandfather started this business. I think that whaever loser wrote the bad review on the front page is a total jurk and has probably never even been to Duckworth and Smith Tire Co. Worst customer service/tire place EVER!

I had the worst experience here at Duckworth Tires located at 1009 Metairie Road. Avoid going to this place at all cost! I can honestly say this place delivered by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any industry.
