Bertinot`s is an honest shop with a thoughtful staff. After losing the breakes on our car we had our car towed to this shop on the recommendation of a friend. He was one hundred percent accurate when he said they were the last of the honest automotive repair shops. My car was too old...

My brother`s ABS light suddenly came on so I made a few calls and drove around to a number of shops for them to diagnose the problem. To my surprise, alot of places that install brakes don`t fool around ABS systems but I was referred to Bertinot`s by a place that`s just down the road from them. We got an ugly stare from one of the employee`s as soon aw we pulled up. We asked the receptionist if they diagnose ABS ... view morelight problems and we were told yes. We told her it was a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic(granted it is a sixteen year old car) and she went in the back to speak with a technician. I was flabbergasted when she returned and told us that the car was too old for them to diagnose the ABS light. I then asked her what was the cut off year or the oldest year they can check. Once again, she went in the back but when she returned, it was as if my brother and I weren`t there awaiting an answer from her technician. So we went out to the car to leave and now there are two technicians outside staring at the car as if they`ve never seen a 1993 Chevy before. I was amazed at the fact that this is a popular car and brand new(not salvaged) parts are still manufactured for this car. It`s not like the ABS system was an add on accessory. I feel like they just didn`t want to provide service for us and it had nothing to do with the age of the car.
