Do not stop! Pass go! I will give them a zero star for service, attitude, prices. and for not being honest Before you go to this place please read the reviews. This shop has my car for two weeks and initially they told me that it was the water pump and the tension belt. They gave me an estimate for $540 and after that job was complete they called me and said "that the car was running hot" and MR. B the mech... view moreanic said that he was 90% sure that it was the head gasket. I should have taken my vehicle than because my car never ran hot, smoke never came from the hood. Lessons Learned!!!! My husband asked him if it was the thermostat and he said know. Mr. B wife who works at he first desk is very rude. She tried to overtook me a couple of times and she will not allow you to get your words out. She insulted another mechanic shop saying that their work was shabby, they were young, and they did not have any experience. She said that her husband knows his work, but he does not because he had to call another mechanic to help him. They are not good at giving you details about your car. I had to keep calling them and every time I called she would not give me an estimate. It`s like I had an open tab. She took the car to another shop to see if the head gasket was blown or cracked and it was not. So they misdiagonsed the problem and they wanted me to pay them for the labor. My husband did a pop up on them only to have more bad news. It could not get any worst than this. They threaded the hole two big so the motor would not come on and they wanted me to buy a new motor. The story goes own put I will stop at this. PASS GO AND DO NOT GO HERE> THEY SUCK AND THEY DON`T TAKE RESPONSIBLITIES FOR THEIR ACTIONS. IF YOU WANT TO SATISFY YOUR CUSTOMERS YOU NEED TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES THAT YOU MADE. Better Business Burea..........

Excellent service from start to finish
I have used Auto Pro twice now since my move to Baton Rouge. They fixed my passenger side window in October. That window hadn`t functioned since I bought my van two years ago. More importantly, they repaired my vehicle a week ago when I thought my alternator was shot. The tow company that brought my vehicle into Auto Pro told me my alternator was done and to take my vehicle to his shop. I stuck with Auto Pro and they... view more properly diagnosed the situation. My cable going from the starter was rusted out. I also needed a new battery terminal. I went from a 400+ bill at a competitor down to just over 100 at Auto Pro. I recommend their work to anyone.

Auto Pro is the ONLY place I trust to work on my cars. They do dealership quality work, they do it fast, and at a fair price.

If I could give Auto Pro Car Care negative 5 stars I would!
I called ahead and requested a quote to have my thermostat replaced. I knew that it needed to be replaced because the day my check engine light came on I took it to an auto parts store and the error code was for the thermostat.
When I got to Auto Pro I was greeted with a smile but the pleasantries ended there. I was explaining the problem to the lady a... view moret the desk and she was trying her best to talk over me and cut me off. She even went as far as telling me that my car needed a new gauge and not a thermostat. I was so confused because she isn`t a mechanic for one and two I knew exactly what was wrong with my car. I asked if they could look at the engine and make sure there wasn`t anything else wrong with it that may or may not cause problems after the thermostat was replaced. I was told that they didn`t do that.....
It almost seems like they are trying to run business away by being super rude and condescending to everyone who walks through the door. I`m not totally convinced that i`m upset about it because had something gone wrong with the repair i`m sure dealing with that lady to get everything straightened out would be a nightmare. I walked away before I got too upset.
If you must absolutely positively be disrespected and be treated poorly then by all means go to Auto Pro if not you may want to try on more reputable and friendly place to take you car.

Horrible experience! They do a crappy job and cost more than most well known places. Do not recommend to anyone at all! Cost approx. 400 dollars to change brake pads out. Then when I went to pick up my car, they charged additional misc. fees that goes into changing out brakes into the bill without informing me.
If you do stop by there, get a quote before they start taking apart your car! Then browse around for pr... view moreices!

Terrible, terrible experience!
If you`re thinking of going to this mechanic...DON`T!
Here`s the attempted-condensed version of what just happened to me: August 7, 2010, I crank my car and drive out of my driveway. I immediately notice my speedometer doesn`t work. I pull over and kill my car. It won`t restart. I jump start it but the gear shaft won`t go into gear and the panel with the RMP guage and speedometer still don`t work.
We ov... view moreerride the safety feature and get it into gear and drive it to the nearest mechanic...Auto Pro. They replace the alternator, I get the car back, everything works, I`m happy.
Almost 6 weeks later, I start smelling a rotten eggs odor and am told by Auto Zone it`s the battery. That was at 4PM on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. (Everything is working fine; just the smell.)
I drive back to work and at 6:30PM, I leave the office to go home for the day. My car won`t start. I get it jumped and before I can drive 30 feet, I notice the same problems I had a month ago...speedometer and RPM guage isn`t working, AC isn`t blowing cold air, car is jerky, no power.
I leave my car and the next day have AAA come out to tow it back to Auto Pro. The guy hooks a machine up under my hood and says my battery is definitely dead and that I should just get a new battery rather than pay to have it towed.
I got a new battery, it cranked but the rest of the issues were still there. I was skeptical to go back to Auto Pro so I went to a Honda Service Center. He ran a diagnostic test and gave me a printout that showed that everything was fine...except for the alternator. Rather than give Honda money that I`d already given Auto Pro, I thanked the guy and went to Auto Pro.
At first the lady at Auto Pro starts saying, "Well, you drove it for a month so it might be something else." I pointed out that the symptoms were IDENTICAL to a month earlier and then I show her the printout. She said they have a warranty so if it`s the alternator, they`ll replace it at no charge. She said sometimes parts are just faulty but that they rarely have this happen. She makes some phone calls and says it will be ready by the end of the day. Great!
That evening, I go to pick my car up and it won`t go into gear. STILL! I decide to leave the car there for them to fix the next day. She calls me about 10 minutes later and I tell her it`s not fixed. Here`s where it got interesting.
She asked me to come back. I did. She starts in saying it`s fixed. I bring her over and show her that the car won`t go into gear. She says it`s an unrelated issue. I couldn`t believe my ears! How can it be an unrelated issue when the ONLY time it does this is when there are problems with the alternator? She argued with me, cut me off, talked over me, called another guy over who walked away in the middle of me talking directly to him...it was unbelievable! At one point, I asked her to please let me explain something (I was going to walk her through the order of events where it was fine before the alternator problem, etc.). She said fine. I literally said, "This..." and before I could say one more word, she said, "No, no, no...you`re wrong. We fixed the car. That`s a different problem." I`m thinking to myself, "Are you the mechanic?"
Finally, she said she would put the faulty alternator from the day before back in, give my money back and I could take it somewhere else. I was insulted but took her offer.
A)If she was business savvy, why wouldn`t she offer to look into the problem and possibly make more money if it was, indeed, an unrelated issue? (Maybe because they don`t know what they`re doing?)
B)Why would you automatically say the customer is wrong (the whole "you`ve driven it for a month comment") before you even look at the car?
Anyway...that`s my experience. Take from it what you need. If you ask my opinion, though, stay as far away from these people as possible!
