Don`t trust Zim`s w/ your vehicle

This review refers to the 102 Carmel Ave location in Lafayette, Louisiana. I went to Zim`s on 9/22/09 for an alignment on my truck, a 1960 Chevy C-10. I was assured that they could do the job, and I prodvided them with a shop manual. I paid $83.38 for a one time alignment job - compare this with a 3yr/36000mi alignment at Allied for $110 that was done on 11/4/09, only 43 days after the initial alignment. I was told b... view morey Zim`s at the time that they could only get the alignment ""90% right"". They didn`t even come close to that. I had to have the alignment redone at Allied after discovering at home that the bolts for the upper control arm shafts were loose and the alignment shims were falling on the ground. Later, I also had to replace one of the upper control arm shafts at a cost of about $60. Not only was ths a pain to deal with, but their level of incompetence could well have caused an accident in a restored vehicle with over $100000 invested - not to mention the personal injury that could have resulted. IMHO, don`t trust Zim`s with your vehicle.
