Recommended Vehicle Service Repair Shop
My family and I sincerely feel secure that we are receiving an honest estimate for service and repairs on our vehicles. Steve and Josh are extremely confident in their recommendations of what is immediately needed for our vehicles and what can wait until a later date. They will advise you on what you need to watch and or listen for on your repairs at a later date. With the economy being what it is now that is a se... view morervice that many people are looking for. In my past experience there are no local dealer service shops that will work with you like this; they want to do all of the service now to get you premium service payment. We genuinely appreciate the way they work with customers both at the counter and on the phone as well as their vendors. Their customer service and repair services are highly recommended. I have been going here for years and anticipate to continue my trust in their services and repairs.

Satisfied customer!

CERTIFIED TRANMISSION IS A GOOD AUTO REPAIR SHOP
I have taken my cars and trucks to Certified for years and they have always done a good job and were fair with me. I wonder if the guy complaining actually talked to Steve. I hate to see a shop get dogged on the internet when they could have avoided the issue simply by reviewing the estimate with Steve.

Buyer Beware, Ripoff Artist in Crestwood
Do yourself and your car a favor and do NOT do business with Certified.

I moved into the area in 2006 and initially used Certified for all my automotive repairs. I believe that over the past couple of years the quality of work has gone down while the prices have gone up. Here is a quick recap of my last two experiences with Certified which I guarantee you will be my last.

In May of 2010 ... view moreI took my 10 year old Ford Van in to have the transmission fluid changed. After they performed their ""courtesy"" inspection they called with $1600 worth of repairs. Really, for a van that might be worth $2000?

In August of 2009 I had a catalytic convertor replaced for over $600. I was told at the time that the warranty was for 5 years or 60k miles. In November of 2010 the same catalytic convertor had to be replaced again. Josh said the thing basically came apart on the inside. They charged me over $600 again and said the warranty was a manufacture warranty and that they would try to get me my money back. yeah right. Guess what didn`t happen.

Before I took the car in the second time it had been at the dealer for recall work and I asked the dealer to try to find out what was rattling under the car. The dealer charged me $45 to check the codes and they said the catalytic converter was bad. Since I believed it to be under warranty I took it back to Certified and told them what the dealer had found. Certified charged me $75 to read the code that I told them the dealer had found. Wow, Certified charges more than the dealer.

This is not the place I started doing business with five years ago. Overpriced for sure. Courtesy inspections done to upsell are the norm now. Warranties are only good as long as nothing goes wrong. They definately do not stand behind their work. Save yourself some trouble and find somewhere else to go. I know I will.

Do your car a favor and do NOT take it here for repairs.
I took my van there because from time to time the check engine light would come on NOTHING else was wrong. Over $1000.00 later and 2 more return trips. They tore up the heat, supposed to replace battery and didn`t, hoses were missing, caused a ticking in the steering column and never fixed the check engine light. The topper was the last time I picked up the van drove it 9 miles, smoke started bellowing out, engine ... view morestarted knocking. Lucky pulled into gas station and it died. They would guarantee nothing. So I`m stuck with a van that ran fine and is now a piece of junk.

An excellent place to go for auto repairs
I have taken various vehicles over the years for everything from their quick lube and oil changes to overnight dropoffs for, ""I don`t know what`s wrong, it just won`t run"" problems. The shop was always fast, friendly, and knowledgable. I always felt welcomed and comforted by their handling of my vehicle concerns and satisfied with the integrity of their repair diagnosis. I highly recommend this shop!

DO NOT GO HERE
Fastest turn over rate I have Ever seen.... number one.. Everytime you go in there you have to talk to someone new other than steve, if he`s even there. Now the reason why I would never ever take any of my cars there were because both times I have ever had them do transmission work I had to return to the shop to have them again FIX my trucks... Now the first truck I had them work on they said that because of the way ... view morethat the transmission broke that i must of been abusing the truck and they wouldnt stand behind there warranty. So i had to pay more money to fix something that they just fixed. O, and that abusing i was doing was driving down the interstate, and wasnt pulling a trailer....Number two truck, statred on my first trip back to them because the WAY OVER Filled my transmission and it was leaking out the vent tube on to my cats causing an awful smell that about never went away.. Then i had to return again when one day the truck wouldnt go into reverse! now i was only 100 miles over the warranty and steve wouldnt help me out.. nice steve... way to stick it to the man and get more money outta me... well i didnt pay to have that fixed i ended up taking my truck to ""D and M Transmission"" Where they help fix what STEVE`s shop did and gave me 50% off and gave me a warranty for the transmission.... Glad to no that theres still good people out there... I will never tell anyone to ever go there, they dont stand behind there half @$$ jobs that they do... Get this horror story, they picked my buddys truck up off the ground with one of there so called safe lifts and smashed the top of the truck in on the top of the lift.. It put a huge dent in the top of his truck that was a huge deal and repair. I also agree with one of the other post, getting them to call me back was a pain!!! No one ever new what was going on when I called up there either....

Excellent service, good prices, fast and friendly
Certified was recommended by a neighbor and I`m very pleased. Fair, fast, friendly and honest, everything I could ask for in a repair shop. They even brought me home and picked me up. Repairs were done right away, and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Service You Can Trust!
Dear Readers,
Please take the above review with a grain of salt. The young lady writing the review was prosecuted by my business for writing bad checks. She now takes advantage of her disabled father-in-law because she will not find a job and help support her family. Walter did not ever have an account with our business (no one does), I simply allowed him to pay when his disability check came in.... view more This is why she chose to have her van towed to us. Remember, it`s always someone else`s fault!

High Prices, slow, bad business practice
On August 9, 2007 I had my 1995 Mercry Villager towe into their shop to be fixed and my father in law agreed to have the bill to be added to his personal account for him to pay. He spoke with Kelley and Steve ( the owner) the same day as the van was towed in to have them add the bill to his account and he was told that would be fine. I and my father-in law called every day for 5 days to find out the status of my van... view more and was always told they would call us back and they never returned our phone call but twice. On the fifth day 09/16/2007, when I called to find out if they had any news and if possibly they could put a hurry on the repairs since they had came to a conclusion that the van needed hoses and a new battery and to fix a fuel leak, if I could pick up the van later that afternoon, after they closed/ I was then told that they needed the bill payed in full before they would release the van. I told Kelly that they were to be adding the bill to my father in laws account. She goes onto say that he no longer has an account with them and that we had to pay the bill in full before they would release the vehicle. My father in law speaks with Kelly and they refused to help him, or to let him speak directly with Steve` the owner. He was never told or received any letter from the company stating that he no longer had an account with them and was never told the 5 times during the course of times he called during the week that he called about my van. He had always paid his accounts on time and was never late on payments. Besides being way overpriced on there labor and equipment they are more that 25 miles away from my home. Our bill will be over $700 for a battery, fuel line repair, and some new hoses, I feel that I could have gotten these repairs done alot cheaper and in a more timely manner. We will get my van back on 08/27/2007, but we will never return to his shop and I will fair warn anyone about there high prices and slow repairs and bad business practices
