I will NEVER let Firestone change the oil in my car again. Most places will check the fluids and etc...apparently all they did was change the oil and happily charged me 89.00 to do it (darn synthetic oil). I had to go to Advanced Auto after work today to have the truck battery replaced (which they didn`t check either). While I was waiting I noticed that the engine coolant looked low. So I asked the guy putting the ba... view morettery in if it looked too low and he said yes, along with the power steering fluid and break fluid. I thought you have GOT to be kidding me. I waited almost 6 hours yesterday for Firestone to finish with the truck and they didn`t even check to see if it needed any fluids topped off. I normally don`t get the oil changed there, but I have lifetime alignment on the truck so I thought what the heck, one stop, it needed the alignment and the tires rotated and balanced. Yeah, that won`t happen again...

Overpriced!
We had used Firestone for oil changes and tires many times. When it came time for a tune-up, I went in for a quote. For a tune-up on a car with 99,000 miles on it, they quoted $1,900 without an oil change or tire rotation! Then the guy had the nerve to say "If you don`t believe me, call Subaru." I went outside and called Subaru. They told me to run away. For everything Firestone quoted me plus so much more ... view moremore, it came out to $1,200. They didn`t recommend all of the work and said that for the mileage I would only need $600 worth of work. Firestone lost two customers that day. Make sure to do price checks on any work you decide to get done here because they are more than likely overcharging you.
